Logan will sometimes bark really loud if he's asleep & something startles him. Just like a person. We spend last weekend in a hotel & about 1:30 he just started going off & he was panicked. I don't know if he heard something or had a bad dream, but it took us a little bit to finally get him calmed down. I have found that the older they get the more they want to protect you.
