| Those of you who "make" clothes for your dogs... Where do you get the patterns? I used to sew up a storm years ago, and now I'm retired. I have plenty of time to sew now! Just wondering where you all get yorkie patterns? |

| What I have done is found some cheap t-shirts at the chain pet stores. I take them apart, and make a pattern from them. I then adapt them. I have done this with a harness I got on Ebay and now make cute harnesses out of many different fabrics. I have a satin orange with black bats on it for Halloween. I also made one out of pink fleece. Everyone asks me where I got the Halloween harness. I sew D rings on the shirts so I don't have to use a harness with it. It works great as long as the shirt fits snug and you can find the solid D rings.

| I don't make clothing, but you can always check those plain old generic patterns (like at Wal-Mart, Hancocks, etc)....I am sure they have some cute patterns. Good luck and happy sewing!

| Any of the main pattern books should have some (simplicity or McCalls). And you can find these anywhere they sell fabric.

| Check out this link. It has lots of pattern links and free patterns, too. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...light=patterns Also, if my memory is correct, the patterns for doggie clothes are listed in the craft section in the pattern books - I believe. I haven't made any in a long time. Have fun!

| I make my own out of newspaper. For most it's just trial and error, and for a few, I have traced from boughten items. I bought one pattern, but have not been totally thrilled with it, I ended up making some adjustments. |

| I make a lot of my own patterns. I like to buy baby dresses on clearance and redesign them for the girls. I also take the small fabric baby bibs with all the cute words and appliques, add a small skirt and velcro band around the belly and I have a quick simple dress. |

| I've made quite a few outfits for Topher using this original pattern. http://www.sewing.circleofcrafters.c...stpattern.html I've also used this pattern to make dresses (just made the vest and created my own design for the dress) and just put my imagination at work to use this pattern as my base. It's an easy-sew vest and can be the basis for many different types of outfits. |
