| Water in Ears I gave Emmy a bath two days ago. She did fine, but I think I got a little water in her left ear. Ever since then she keeps shaking her head and scratching her ear. She is acting normal and eating fine, but I think her ear has some water in it. Is there anything I can do for her? I feel so bad. =(

| She may have an ear infection. I know water in ears is really bad for them. I'd take her to the vet to make sure. If it is, she'll need medication. |

| If it were water that was still bothering her, I would think it would have drained or been reabsorbed by now. She might have something else going on, like an ear mite or the start of an infection. You might want to have her hear looked at by the vet.

| There is some medicine that will dry it up...I use to have the bottle so I could tell you the name, but I wasn't being to bright and left it outside up on something and Max got it and put holes in it...you can get it at the vet...I would take her to the vet to have them checked...

| If you have a little rubbing alcohol on hand you could stick a drop in her ear. This is what I do to my kids when they get water stuck in their ears after swimming. The alcohol evaporates really fast and some how takes the water with it. Also if your close to a pet supply place (we are 3 hours from a pet co or anything like that) you can get something there. I have a ear powder that works well and I'm sure they have a few different items that would work.
