| hello hello all, I am new to the forums here. I will be getting my Yorkie in two weeks. I do work full time and have been debating getting two. I really only want one to begin with, however I am wondering if I should get two for the dogs sake so that he will not be lonely while i am at work during the day. How much harder is it to train a 2nd dog other than the obvious, twice as hard...Any wisdom and experiences anyone will share would be great. Thank You |

| IMO, if you can afford two then get two. I got my two 6 weweks apart, and it wasn't any harder to train two than one, in fact the younger one seemed to catch on quicker. I trained them to pee pads, and outdoors. I have recently put in a doggie door, and they love it and so do I. I do still keep them confined to the kitchen except in the evening when I am watching TV. They like to be on my lap. |

| Hello and welcome to Yorkie Talk. I got Baxter several months after Snickers. I found it easier to have one trained already before I got a second. Baxter didn't train as fast as I expected. Even though he had Snickers to learn from, it took him awhile to 'get' it.

| Hi! And welcome to YT I can't help you with the question on if it's harder to train 2 versus one as my Gabby was 8 years old when we rescued Gage (he's almost 2) - I've always just had one at a time to train but I LOVE having 2 Hope you'll post more and when you get your baby, we'd love to see pictures
