| does your yorkie get mad at you? for some reason, Cash gets mad at me when i try to put clothes on him or when i put on his shoes. I've noticed that on days when i do that, the next morning, i wake up with poop and pee all over the place but on days when i don't put clothes or shoes on him, it never happens and he pees and poops on his wee wee pad! I think that is his way of saying, "Ha! take that! that'll teach you to make me wear clothes. do something i don't like and i'll do something you don't like." I think it's kinda cute except for the cleaning up part. Does anyone else have this problem with their yorkies?

| Yeah! when i'm studying or if i'm busy doing something and i don't pay attention to him for a while like more than 2 hours, he gets all mad and pees everywhere and when i do play with him, he bites me! not enough to draw blood but enough to bring a tear to my eyes and i have a very high threshold of tolerance for pain. and i try fake crying and whining like puppies do and he just looks at me and bites me even harder.

| Jake didn't like clothes in the beginning, but I kept trying because I want him to get used to them so that I can keep him warm when it's cold, and so that wearing a harness will be a little easier. He would hide his face and not look at me or turn his back on me, but he never stayed mad long. That seems to be his "punishment" of choice...to ignore me. He did the same thing when I was vaccuming the house and I put him in my room and shut the door until I was finished because he doesn't like the vaccum. When I opened the door and told him he could come out, he stood up, turned around to face away from me and layed down in his bed lol. I started showing him a treat along with whatever shirt I was going to put on him. Then, I would put the shirt on him and give him the treat. I found him to be much more cooperative this way, and he doesn't even mind getting dressed now. I started out by leaving the shirt on him only for a few minutes and increasing the time each day. I really only put clothes on him at night when it's chilly, and I think he realizes that he's warmer with something on. Fortunately, he doesn't pay me back by pottying wherever he chooses. |

| Perhaps you should put clothes on him everyday and see if he gets worse. I can't really believe that is the reason he's pottying everywhere. Yorkies get mad and pout if they don't get what they want, but really they aren't like humans and don't hold grudges. Perhaps he is still too young and perhaps you aren't taking him to potty often enough or consistently? Just a thought. They get used to clothes very quickly, but only if you put them on them regularly to start with. When he starts biting too hard, holler "ouch" loudly and stop playing and ignore him for a couple of minutes. Then try playing again. It's just a puppy thing.

| For a while Bruce seemed to be peeing out of spite when he was angry at me. This generally only happens if he is home alone for more than 2 hours, he would go out walking when I would get home with him and barely go, then wait till we came in and pee right in front of me...I am glad this stopped...He still will get mad if he feels he is not getting enough attention..Now he throws himself in his dog bed, refuses to give me attention and will sigh repeatedly over and over...These yorkies can occassionally get moody.

| I really doubt your little pup pees and poops because he's mad at you. With shoes and clothes, etc. on -- he probably is more restrained and more inhibited and just doesn't go to the bathroom the way he would - if he were (without clothes and shoes) --the way a dog should be. He obviously doesn't enjoy wearing clothes and shoes!!!! I hope he doesn't have to wear them very often. Carol Jean |

| When Adonis gets mad with me, he'll lower his head. He really hates that top knot being redone. I've also seen him cower down, like he thought I was going to hit him. I've NEVER hit him! He does this when I scold him. |

| My poodle sure does get mad at me. Whenever I don't let her have it her way (Ex: wanting to eat the cat's food).......she will turn her back on me and make this loud sniffing sound through her nose. It is hilarious to me!

| My dog doesn't care if he has clothes on or not..With shoes - I haven't tried yet LOL. He doesn't really get mad at all, actually. If I don't pay him attention because I'm busy he starts bringing his toys and sits down and looks down at me. Then starts making those squeaky noises. If I still don't pay him any attention he goes and starts biting on something he's not supposed to, little bugger! . That always works...

| Never. When I repremand him for something he jumps up on my leg trying to kiss me! Never fails. I guess it's his way of saying sorry for whatever he has done. Never pees or poops in the house, ever. |
