My vets office policy is also to stay overnight after being neutered but both times I have had it done, he said that if I called late afternoon and they were doing okay I could pick them up. I just think they are more comfortable in their own home. The girls up front did kind of give me a hard time but the vet was actually fine with it.

Good luck Monte!!!! It will be over before you know it.

I will be keeping you BOTH in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow!!! I remember how nervous I was when I took Gage in back in February - the thoughts and prayers of everyone here really helped. I have no doubt he will be fine

p.s. Gage says to tell him "it don't hurt vewy much and u will be home wif u mommy fore u knowd it"

I went through the same thing with Piccolo. The surgery was last Wed. and today he's old himself - playing, eating and moving everything he can manage.
Try to pick him up in the evening. I did it because I was scared to leave him overnight.
He'll be fine and you're doing the right thing.

Oh I will most definitely be keeping him in my Prayers! I have to take my little guy in soon too and I am a NERVOUS WRECK!

I just wanted to let everyone know that Monte's surgery went great, and I am on my way to pick him up!! Thanks for all your well wishes and thoughts..He is a tough little guy!!

Thanks for the update, I'll be getting my Sophie spayed next week and I want to thank you for showing us we are not alone. So happy Monte is doing great.
