My Monte is getting neutered on Tuesday, October 3rd @ 9am..He will have to stay overnight. I am a little worried about this plus, sad..but I know my Boy will be ok. :hug: :nursing:

It's so hard to leave our little babies somewhere overnite where it is so strange to them, but Monte will be well taken care of and he'll be fine and in your arms before you know it. Sending a big hug to get you thru the nite till you can hug Monte yourself:bighug:

I went through this with Oscar - he came thru just fine and looking back I now realize how silly I was (I actually cried when I handed him over to the technician). Your little Monte will be back home before you know it!

Why don't you speak to your vet about picking him up that evening rather than leaving him overnight? My vet usually keeps them overnight too, but after finding out that no one would even be there I said I'd be picking him up - and that was fine with them. I just had to bring him back the next morning for a follow up to see how he was doing. I felt much better having him home so I could keep an eye on him and baby him myself.

I will pray for Monte to have a successful surgery! I know how worrisome it is to take our little ones in for surgery! I think it's probably harder on us than it is on the pup. Hugs to you!!!

I'll be praying for you and Monty. I know everything will be just fine and he will do great, but Its hard for us to leave our babies and to know they are having surgery is even harder. Maddie just had her surgery to get spayed and to have two hernias removed. She was sore the first few days, but buddy after that...look out.. LOL

It's normal to worry about leaving your baby overnite. You are doing the right thing in getting him nuetered. I am glad you like your vet. He is in good hands and will be home before you know it. It really does make a big difference with the males when they get "fixed". Good luck and tell us when he is home safe and sound.:) Carol

Isn't it just like us mom's to worry, worry, worry? I'll be thinking of Monte...and you, too! Let us know how he does.:)

Ah.. I guess Neuter and Spay seasons :)

I am on the same page .. and worried about Haruka getting spay this Friday too. We will be okay :) If we are worried.. I guess our yorkies can sense it and might start getting worried too :) That is what I am trying to tell myself.
