Another thing he does that's so adorable is when something scares him, he'll come running to me and I'll pick him up and cuddle him. I've always said that if you talk to them all of the time that they will learn everything imaginable. I did that from the time Muffin was tiny and she understood just about everything, if not everything. I haven't lost it completely yet, at least I don't think I have, but this constant interaction with them is what brings out the human-like qualities in them. To me, though, even when they're old, they still act like babies, which I love.

I agree! I talk to Jake all the time. Like I said, he follows me around the house when I'm cleaning. I do the same with him as I did when my kids were babies. I took them room to room with me, and I'd talk to them the whole time. Jake listens intently and gives me that head tilt, which is soooo cute lol. I just love his personality, he's got the sweetest disposition. He's very very easy to love!

I think Kacee has that sort of personality, too. She's sweet and shy. She'll just watch me when I'm talking to her. My family says they can't believe the way she looks at me! When I'm holding her, I'll say, "Kacee." She'll look me right in the eyes with this expectant look, like what am I going to get to do now?

That's how Jake is! I love when he's playing and I call him, he comes running and looks at me like "did you call me, mom?" lol

I've had other breeds, but yorkies are definitely an entirely different breed than any other.

Kiki has this funny little black-lipped smile that cocks up on one side....she tilts her head and gives me that smile, and it's so cute! Her face looks so human sometimes that we always say she looks like a "Country Bear"--like she could just start talking at any time!

...this is what Mazie just started doing! She opens her mouth and shows all her teeth, and it's not as cute and photogenic as some of the grins I've seen her on YT , but I think it's so sweet b/c of WHY she's doing it!

OOOPS - forgot to add Chanels smiling pictures ......

1st as a baby - She was and still is the biggest HAM and loves to hear me laugh -

the 2nd is the first week I taught her to smile when when asked...now she does it on command but I spent that whole week in tears laughing.

the 3rd picture is her HUGE happy face - which I see everyday and thank God she's in my life.

Chico has "smiled" since he was a baby. I think it is really a sign of submission. He shows all his teeth whenever we come home or anyone comes to visit. I can get him to "smile" on cue now (for a treat) - it's a crack up!

I agree, those 3 are an adorable trio. But having had/have both Yorkies and Shih Tzus--I would be willing to bet the middle sweetie is either a pure Shih Tzu or has some Shih Tzu in her lineage. Just as the Yorkies have unmistakable markings, looks etc,; so does the Shih Tzu.
They are all beautiful babies!!!
