I'm in Phoenix, AZ - and here we absolutely must apply pesticides year round.

We buy the exact same chemicals the exterminators use, on Amazon; and we bought a small sprayer on Amazon. It will maybe cost you $50 for what you need - and that will last you for at least 2 years. Whereas we used to pay $50 a MONTH for someone else to do it.

We spray the outside of our house every 3mths. You do not need to spray every month at all.

Plus, with them, if you see any bugs withing a few days after they spray, they'll come back and re-spray for free. But it's something I believe you're supposed to have done once a month (that goes for all of the companies)

I have terminx plus a whole bunch of stray cats and it hasn't killed them yet so and my grass looks great so what they are using definitely works. I've gotten the inside of my house done as well. Usually just keeping them away from the area being sprayed for 30 minutes or so and they should be fine. I've never had a problem. I just keep my babies away from the area that has been sprayed and they have never gotten sick. In addition, not sure how true it is, but if they do ingest it through licking their paws, depending on the amount, they will just throw it up. I don't know how much of that is true.
