| ![]() I'm sorry it didn't work out! Maybe you could stay with her and she'll be better. IT sounds like you have a real caring groomer too!

| ![]() Uh-oh! I didn't dream of something like that happening. Kacee has never really been around cats, either, but when she sees one she wants to play with it! ![]() ![]()

| ![]() I'm sorry about Chloe... I bet she is totally a momma's girl. Dont feel bad, we know you love her very much. Chloe is just like a regular child... sometimes we can just spoil them too much. Its easy to do, but once we do it, its harder to correct. I know I have a 2 yr old and a 12 yr old daughter and Maddie. I agree, maybe try going and staying at the groomers. Maybe the first time you could stay there by here and just let them do her nail, next time do her nails and ears, then keep working up to a little more each time. Maddie was a nervious wreak the first time I took her. I felt so bad. Now she is starting to get a little use to it. She is so spoiled to. Thats what happens when they are our worlds. LOL ![]() ![]() ![]() So lets all fly to New York to shop and bring our yorkies for a play date. LOL Wouldnt that be fun! |

This cat was soooo funnny but very playful ad probobly at least twice Chloe's size. He would sort of pounce on chloe and "bat" at her with his paws and Chloe didnt knwo what to do because she has never seen a cat and defiently never played this way before, lol. She is normally the pouncer, not the pouncee

| ![]() Shana, you are NOT in any way a bad mommy!! Chloe is trainable ... it just takes time. But don't ever think that you're a bad mommy ... Chloe is lucky to have a mommy who loves her as much as you do!

| ![]() Shana...if ever there was a good yorkie mommy, it would be you! I've had that same problem with Maddie and the first groomer I took her to, she is no longer welcome there because as the groomer said, "She turned into the Tazmanian Devil!" After that ordeal, I decided rather than look for another groomer, I'd just do Maddie myself. I then happened to find a groomer at the pet store here and made an appointment. I bathed Maddie first so all she'd need to do is clip her. That didn't go too bad. The next time I let them bathe her. When I came to pick her up, even my holding her wouldn't soothe her. She was so freaked out and was clawing on me like a cat would do. It took me a long time to get her to calm down. The other night I was at the pet store with Maddie and walked back into the grooming room. When I did, Maddie started clawing me and freaking out just from being in there...the groomer wasn't even there at the time. I think Maddie is afraid of the noises and the dryers and I've decided again to just do her myself. Maddie is scared to death of things with motors. I've tried easing that fear by holding her while I vacuum and she still runs for the basement every time I get the vacuum out. Maybe it's not totally separation anxiety for Chloe, but maybe she's afraid of the noises and the goings on. If dogs are afraid, they will be hard to handle. I know how you feel...I've been there. I wanted so badly to keep Maddie well groomed, but I guess since I know how scared she gets, I will just do it myself. She may not look well manicured, but at least she won't have to go through that ordeal any more! I hope you have better success with Chloe getting used to the groomer! One thing...Chloe always looks adorable, so you've been doing a great job!

Lillie has her 1st appt to get groomed in Oct and I'm so scared cause she has never been to anyone else, I'm the only one who has ever groomed her. When we go somewhere she shakes, but I try to take her out to socialize her offten. Good luck to you and I think doggy day care is a great idea. |

| ![]() My Tinkerbell is the same way, so I can relate. I need to get her out more also. I once took Tink to my relatives house to stay for about 2 hours, she has a few little dogs to play with. Tink sat by the door on alert for me the entire time, she would not budge, and when I got back, she then played and had fun with everybody. ![]() |

| ![]() I think Hope will be that way too.. as long as we are home, she is fine with others but if I bring her somewhere and walk away, she freaks and cries until I go back to her... I bring her to work sometimes and when I have to go to a different room, she cries until I come back.... she is sooo sweet! I am trying to bring her out a little at a time so she doesnt get so scared.... it seems to be getting better everytime.

| ![]() Aw poor little Chloe, I think dogs are are like children ,they are all unique! She might just take a little longer to get used to different situation's,she is just a sensitive little one who know's that she is safe with her mum and is wary of everyone else.It will take a while to build her confidence and is best done slowly, wishing you luck Julie

| ![]() Ohh!!! Poor Chloe!!! Shana, I guess this means we need to have doggy playdates and trips to the dog park more often. Also, you might want to try puppy training classes, I found they are really helpful with socializing since it is a controled environment. Maybe her and Rocky could take one together since she is comfortable being around him. BTW, what groomer did you take her too? I am trying to find one closer to me. I love my groomer in N. Richland Hills, but it pretty far from my house now. |

We're always up for playdates, too!!!! I just saw this thread...guess I missed it when you posted it. Hey, wouldn't it be fun if we all did a training class together!!! I'm sure we'd have the three stars in the class! ![]()
