The wee wee age.... Hi, Does anybody noticed when they trainned their puppies to potty on the pads at what age do they really understand that the PAD IS THEIR SPOT!!! Violeta will do it sometimes and some others just wont. I will put her in her pad and stay with her for a while and sometimes she will pee and sometimes she will just wait looking at me and after a while that I move from there she will pee outside the pad far from it!!!!! This is her looking at me, waiting for me to turn around and pee somewhere else

What a cute picture! Mine do the same thing. Sometimes I think it's all a waiting game. Who can hold out the longest?

I wish I had a dollar for everytime Lexy has done that same thing!!!! She is beginning to go on the pads most of the time, but still looks at me as if to say "well Mommy you can clean it up with a paper towel! What's the big deal?" Good thing they are so cute! I think potty training problems are our fault! We would never put up with it in a big dog, but it is sooooo hard to get mad at a tiny one! If this stupid weather ever warms up and stays that way, Lexy and I are gonna spend a lot of time outside with treats!

Chichi, Violeta look adorable. Potty training will take them a while but she will get it. Just be patient and consistent.

I'm not sure if this is normal or not, but Baby was having a hard time going where we could see her. I moved the pad into the bathroom and she just hops in their and does her business and comes out. She was about 50% trained and since the move into the bathroom, i'd say she's about 95% pottytrained! GOod luck!

That is such a cute picture - I bet we could all have taken one JUST LIKE THAT of ours sitting & looking up at us! I never was good at training on the pee pads & have been fortunate to have good weather to train Kodah outside. Right now I can leave our back door cracked just enough for her to get out & she is 99.99999 trained in 4 weeks. But I think I will be facing a whole new ballgame when the AC has to come on & the door shut - unless I see her at the backdoor, she makes no noise to go out. Guess I will cross that bridge in the next few weeks! Wish I had started with the "ring the bell" everytime we go outside idea.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I'm not using pee pads, we're working on the outside only method. In the beginning, I used to have to wait for Trace to go, sometimes as long as 5 to 10 minutes. And if he sat down, I stood him back up and repeated go potty. Sometimes I think it takes them getting up and moving to get their bladders in gear or to realize, "hey, I did have to go." Your baby's a cutie, I'm sure she's thinking "not the pad thing again"...... |

I tried pee pad training. I got that same little look that you are getting in that picture. We go outside now. She just wouldn't pee on that thing!

I'm trying to training Desi to do both. Right now, she is pretty well trained on the wee pad, which I like because if we go out for the day, I'm not worried about running home to walk her. But, I would like her to pee outside when we are out. Right now, she will hold it until we get home and she can go on the pad. I've even tried bringing a pad with me and placing it on the grass, but she won't go..

| That is a fabulous picture!!!!!! Esme got the hang of it at about 4 months. By 5 months she was rarely having accidents. If she did have an accident, it was beside the pad. Esme will be 6 months on Thursday. Just be consistent. When I want her to go, I don't let her leave the pee pad until she does. I swear I have stood their with her for up to 45 minutes saying 'Esme, do your buisness.' I have even pulled up a chair next to the pad and sat down while I waited!!! Good Luck!!! Mari
