Esme got the hang of it at about 4 months. By 5 months she was rarely having accidents. If she did have an accident, it was beside the pad. Esme will be 6 months on Thursday.
Just be consistent. When I want her to go, I don't let her leave the pee pad until she does. I swear I have stood their with her for up to 45 minutes saying 'Esme, do your buisness.' I have even pulled up a chair next to the pad and sat down while I waited!!!
