At 7 weeks, he needs to get as much sleep as possible. Are you familiar with the threat of hypoglocemia?? Do you have any NutriCal?? Make sure he is sleeping a lot, getting PLENTY of food and eating throughout the day, and is staying warm. CoNgRaTs on your new addition! I bet he is a cutie pie!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Just make sure he has periods of playing inbetween napping. Nutrical will definatley help keep his sugar levels up.

Thanks Thanks eveyrone for your response. I am so glad I found this website. I have been so worried about him sleeping. He plays in between but sleeps alot. The vets says he has a virus and gave me some Nutrical and Hi-vite vitamins. He ate some food tonight-and is asleep now. I am just worried because earlier he ate some soft food and vomited up some of it-I think he eats too fast. He also drinks his water to fast. Earlier he was at the vet and just awhile ago I went to pet him and he ran like he was scared and wouldnt give me sugar. I would never hurt him-makes me feel really bad when he ignores me....I just want him to be okay...He is the new love of my life. Thanks everyone!!! Brandy and Tribute

Think of him as an infant. At that age about all they do is eat poop and sleep. Are you aware of the danger of hypoglycemia? And do you know the symptoms and how to treat it?

I know humans are different than dogs. I am a registered nurse and know signs for a human and can relate that to dogs. I have done some research, but if the signs are different for dogs let me know. Thanks very very much... Brandy and Tribute

Hope your little one feels better soon. You are good to give him wet food for now and making sure he is eating. You should also grind up some dry food and leave it out for him all day so he will always have food available. As he gets older and his teeth get bigger, you can start giving him whole kibbles and mixing it with the wet food. Then start weaning him off the wet food as it is bad for their teeth....but that can wait for awhile. The most important thing now is preventing that hypoglocemia.
