| I think Hootie is depressed. Hootie just does not seem to like my hubby and me as much as Hobbs likes us. She seems to just mope around the house most of the time. She never really gives too many kisses and she really isn't too much of a cuddler. When I look in her eyes, she just seems depressed. Am I imagining all of this? Is this just how female yorkies act? I have heard people say, "Female yorkies love you, but male yorkies are 'in love' with you." I feel like this is exactly how Hootie & Hobbs act. I hope she isn't depressed and I hope she loves her family. It has been a long weekend...we went to visit my sister and she has a yorkie and her roommate also has a dog. Maybe Hootie is just tired. |

| I bet she is just tired. For what it is worth, of our 4 family Yorkies, the males are much more affectionate than the girls. |

| Aww I'm sure you're not doing anything wrong. I only have a boy, so I don't know how females behave. Maybe try spending some alone time with your little girl and playing some of her favorite games without anyone else around. Cheer up Hootie!

| I'm sure she is just tired... Give her sometime to rest. Kona gets the same way when we've been playing all day.

| I hope your little girl will get her rest and cheer up. Maybe, as someone recommended, try giving her extra one-on-one attention? I'm sure she'd love it and maybe she just doesn't know how to ask for it...I only have a boy and it's my first Yorkie ever, but he's not really a cuddler. Unless he's half asleep, otherwise he just bites and wrestles -sigh-

| I only have 2 females. But one is cuddly and one isnt. So I dont think its all to do with the sex as it is the personalities of whatever you have. And when my babies are tired, and played hard all day. they both tend to lay around, sometimes one more and next time the other might. So I think your just worrying too much. I'm sure they both love you and just show it differently.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Awwww......I doubt she loves you less - We get so used to our FIRST and how they are - that when we get a 2nd - we tend to compare them...the GOOD thing is - each has their OWN personality - and little Hootie probably has traits Hobbs doesn't have that are special only to HER (I gotta say Hobbs has the CUTEST little Munchkin mouth - I LOVED working on your pictures - can you tell ? ) |

| My breeder told me that girls are DEFINITELY moody, and she specifically sd. that there might be days when they act mad at you, and you don't even feel like they love you! Hey....you're a girl....you know how it is sometimes. I'm sure she is just as happy as Hobbs, but just has a different way of showing it. And just think of all the people who would LOVE to have their dog enjoy their crate!

| Awe! Thanks, guys! Thanks for cheering me up. This morning Hootie came in the bathroom while I was getting dressed and laid down on my towel on the floor and just watched me all morning. She does have a totally different personality than Hobbs, but I hope that last night she was just tired and didn't feel like cuddling or something. She is such a little sweetheart...very laid back. I guess I am just used to Hobbs being all up in my face ALL the time. You are right, Villette, they are 2 different dogs and I should not compare them because they are different. Thanks for making me feel better, everyone. That is why I love this place! |
