| Question on coat How long doea it take a yorkies hair to grow floor length? Will it ever get that long if you dont wrap it. My yorkie will be one year old on tuesday and his hair only hangs about 3 inches down. And any suggestions on how to make it grow longer.

Heres their pictures made yesterday just when I finished their bath. Kizzys hair is growing but not very fast at all. I wonder if her hair will get long enough that her legs wont look so long. I tried to get a couple pictures of each from the side view. not that easy to do with these two either. Also I think Kizzys hair is going to be silky. now maggies is another question as for now it looks cottony like kizzys use to but she does mat easier than kizzy ever has, but lately it seems to be getting smoother and not as matty.

| It can take 18 months to 2 years, and i totally agree the taller they are the longer it takes, the breeder i got Duke from has all her dogs in a show coat by the time they are like 8 months, they are gorgeous, but its coz they are so small also it depends on the individual, Mitzi and Duchess both have wooly coats and Mitzi grows three times as fast as Duchess |

| I would suggest getting some Missing Link to help with his coat. I gave Lola a very short hair cut over the summer and it's growing back so fast. It's already an inch past her belly.

| It depends on each dog. Some have slower growing silk coats and require wrapping. Others have silk coats that grow very fast and get to floor length with no need to help. |
