| Hiding game! Just been wondering, i have a little female yorkie aged 12 weeks! She seems to be hiding everything under my daughters beds, she drags her toys, she drags our shoes, she even drags some of our laundrey under the beds, this does not bug me in the least, but was just wanting to get some opinions as to why she does this, is it just some sort of a game? Last night she dragged my daughters entire school uniform under the table! Another thing she frantically licks my wet feet when i get out of the shower! : |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | My 2-year-old used to do that. My wife's glasses disappeared one day, and she had to order some new ones. Six months later, they showed up at the edge of the bed with little teeth marks in them. I don't know why they do it, but it's fairly common among dogs. I googled it and found an entry where one person's dog dug a hole in their mattress to hide things! Good luck finding stuff, and welcome to YT!

| Dezi is 9 months and she has been doing that since she was 3 months. She takes everything and hides it. We know where to find our stuff when is missing. |

| My dog used to do the same...........she would hide underneath to be able to chew everything comfortably without me seeing her and saying no no! haha! At that age, they are exploring the world.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Oh, and I completely forgot about burying bones! Eddie has nylabones and hooves buried all over the yard. And come springtime as the snow is melting, he starts digging them up and dragging them in the house all muddy and rotten. Disgusting. And not 10 minutes after I finished planting flowers in low-lying planters around the deck last summer, he had a 6" plastic bone buried in one of the 12" x 12" planters.

| This is funny! If I were to guess, I'd think that it is their burrowing instinct - to have a little place that is "their own" where they can put all of their stuff. Of course, most doggies will bury bones and stuff like that. When Muffin was little, I remember she took one of her treats outside and buried it in some soft dirt at the edge of the patio and then dug it up again and ate it!
