| Full Grown? I was just curious as to what age a puppy is usually fully grown. If anyone has a good idea, I'd appreciate your thoughts. Thanks!

| I think they are all different. On an average I would say 15 - 18 months, but the majority of growth is over at 10 -12 months. |

| my vet has a schedule of dogs in ages to people. toys are not as old for their ages as bigger dogs are. I always thought 7 to 1 difference. The little chart he has shows a toy as being either 24 or 26 at 6 months. it shows them to be 15 at 3 months. so seems like theres about a 1 to 5 or so years ratio. like my dog is 3 months she is as old as my 15 yr old neice. so it seems like a dog 10 yrs old would be about 50 or 55 or so. I just kinda glanced thru it. That chart considers anything under I think it was 25 lbs as a small dog. I will try to remember to look at it again when I go back and see for sure what it said about the 3 month old. Maggie will be right at 4 months when she goes back. So it sounds to me that the smaller dogs have a longer life span than the big dogs. So I guess the bigger dogs difference is the 7 to 1 ratio. I've never seen a link on here telling the age difference ratio between humans and dogs, has anyone else. I'd like to find one.

| Ceeby stopped growing at seven months and three pounds. Then at 11 months, he had a growth spurt (filling out) and now weighs four pounds and has stabilized. |

| I wondered the same thing but I think Sugar is right. Chloe was 6 months old and stopped growing then went thru a growth spurt at 13 months. I wondered if this was because I got Sissy when Chloe was 12 months (just taken off puppy chow) She started eating the puppy chow instead of the adultplus 1 food. Sissy sneaks in and eats the Adult plus1. geeze I can't wait till they are both on the same food! Chloe has stopped growing now (even tho she still sneaks by me with that puppy food (14 months) and Sissy appears to have stopped growing but I am expecting that growth spurt at 12 months again. Puppy #3 in about 8 months-will check back and let you know what #3 does

| When Lucy hit 6 months she was only 2 pounds. She stopped growing for at least 3 months. I was worried. Two pounds is very small. Then she started growing again. Now at 14 months she is 3 pounds and 12 ounces. She has weighed this amount for about 3 months. I think she is done. But, her bones did not grow much after 6 months, she just gained more weight. |

It's an excellent food and you won't have to give two different kinds.

Cause I didn't know what to do. Actually I mentioned this problem to the vet when she told me to take Chloe off the puppy food. We had just gotten Sissy the day before and I didn't want any jealousy so I wanted to avoid all changes. The vet told me no, do not keep Chloe on the puppy food, too much fat is n0ot good for her, I would have preferred to keep them both on the puppy food until Sissy was old enug to switch. I think I want to change vets, not only do I think she should have reccomended what you just did, but I had to ask her if Sissy had any ear mites when I brought her in the day after I bought her, and she said "Oh let me check" and she did!!! I was very confused & unsatisified that If I hadn't asked, then what?? She would have kept them? So before leaving I asked, can she spread them to Chloe? Duh she said yes maybe... So I treated both girls. 2 important things she shouls have broght to my attention, afterall when I signed on at her office, I did say I was a first time owner. I was counting on them for adive and meanwhile thank goodness for YT cause this is where I learned what to ask So where do I buy this food? at a regular pet shop? Is this what you feed yours? Good for Sissy at 5 months? as well as Chloe at 14 months? Thanks for your suggestion, other then the food problem, I feel like an expert Mommy Training, potty, walking, carriage rides, playing, 4 days NOW OUT OF THE PLAYPENS. everything else I am doing right.........and it is going right..
