my vet has a schedule of dogs in ages to people. toys are not as old for their ages as bigger dogs are. I always thought 7 to 1 difference. The little chart he has shows a toy as being either 24 or 26 at 6 months. it shows them to be 15 at 3 months. so seems like theres about a 1 to 5 or so years ratio. like my dog is 3 months she is as old as my 15 yr old neice. so it seems like a dog 10 yrs old would be about 50 or 55 or so. I just kinda glanced thru it. That chart considers anything under I think it was 25 lbs as a small dog. I will try to remember to look at it again when I go back and see for sure what it said about the 3 month old. Maggie will be right at 4 months when she goes back.
So it sounds to me that the smaller dogs have a longer life span than the big dogs. So I guess the bigger dogs difference is the 7 to 1 ratio. I've never seen a link on here telling the age difference ratio between humans and dogs, has anyone else. I'd like to find one.
