Syd is the same way. I don't get it. If somebody comes to the door she will get sooooo excited that she will accidently leak on the couch. But heaven forbid somebody walks on "her sidewalk". And after barking ferociously until they are out of sight...she turns around and looks at me like "I scared away the bad people for you mom". | |

				 | Does your Yorkie(s) follow you everywhere in the house, and outside? --Wembley follows me everywhere inside, but doesn't follow her Daddy. Outside? I wish! It's impossible for me to even catch her attention outside with all of other "exciting" things going on (we live in a townhouse. outside has cars, birds that she tries to chase, people, etc.). Love to lay on your lap? We made Wembley into a lap dog. As a baby, she preferred sleeping in her crate, but we would take her out and put her on our laps. She'll only do it on her terms, though. If we put her there, she jumps down. But, if she wants to be there, it's "stop what your doin' mommy! I wanna lie down on ya" Hardly bark? MMM....the old days. When Wembley was a baby, she never barked. It was fantastic. Then we went away for a few days in December (6 months old at that point) and we had to board her. When we came back and brought her home, she was barking (and still is...barking as I type, in fact). We don't know if it was the boarding place, or just a coincidence ( because at that age maybe she would have started barking anyway). All in all, though, she is so sweet and friendly. We're so thankful for having her :-) Sounds like all of our yorkies have that in common. |
