| I am totally coRNfused now. lol I just went out and called maggie and she's been outside for about 30 minutes, its been raining but not enough to wet even the yard totally. just a quick lil shower. its about 80 degrees. And I picked her up and smelled her and she smelled so good. LMAO. I cant understand that. I gave her a bath today and thats when I noticed mainly that she totally smelled awful when i towel dried her. Then I put them out on the deck to run and play and dry then I bring them back in and brush them again. I brush before and after their baths. Anyway, thats just like a kid. make a liar out of ya evertime. Anyway, i'll see how she still smells tomorrow and still ask the vet to ck her ears and anal glands and her teeth. Thanks for at least tips yall gave me, so I know what to ask the dr to ck. thanks a lot.

| I just replied to your other post lol. That's weird. Is it when she's still a little wet that she smells bad? Some dogs have a funny smell when they're wet, but they smell find once they dry. |

| no, its been lately when its hot outside and yes after I first give her a bath. I just dont like that smell. Its really been more noticable the last couple of weeks to me. she is 3 months old. think she will outgrow this smell if its just her odor? dang If not, i'll have to keep her sprayed in something all time. oh I bet I know why she didnt stink now. I sprayed her with frebreeze earlier this evening after her bath and she came in still smelling bad to me. the is really good stuff. not to soak them in but just a light spray on the outside of their coat. I know several people that spray their puppies with that. anyway, that might be why she didnt smell now, but i'll see in the morning how it is before taking her to the vet. If she stinks like that i'm gonna leave her stinking when i take her so they can smell her too. I usually give her a bath the morning of her vet appt as I try to get her appts around 1:30 pm.

| That is starnge, how old is she? i know gypsy use to smell, it was like that dog/puppy smell, she had it for about 2 months. I wonder if she is rolling in something outside? or rubbing against a hedge or something? I would smell her ears, it might be strong smelling wax or her anal glands? |

| hmm, well i give up. lol. after I smelled her and she smelled pretty good. I went back and picked her up and pulled her ears out and smelled there and they sure dont smell good. some of you might remember she had ear mites when I first brought her home. That was all cleared up. Wonder if that could have made her ears more suceptible to oders? Anyway, i'll let the vet handle it tomorrow. But I pulled her hair apart and smelled her skin and it doesnt stink, just the hair but it dont stink like I said that bad but her ears sure didnt smell good. She was actually much dirtier when they got baths today than kizzy was and they had baths same day as each other last Friday. I usually give them baths one , then the other on the same days and some times 2 times a week. Her hair is really thick and soft and I wonder if its because of that and she might have the cotton coat ( I dont have a clue) but Kizzys hair is so easy to brush. she never has had matts , not more than a couple once in while. But Maggie dont matt either but maybe the dirt sticks to her hair more than kizzys if she is cottony. I think kizzy is silk coat or maybe a mixture. her hair is getting so silky now at 7 months. Maggie is just 3 months so its hard to tell with her but she sure has a thick coat of hair. Anyway, thanks for all your tips and I will make sure she is cked good tomorrow.
