| ![]() Had a similar problem.....after the 3rd time the dog got into my yard, I called animal control. The owners were issued a warning and a citation/fine. I think they have to receive 3 of these before they step in and take the dog into custody.

| ![]() By all means call. Once is bad enough but it can be forgiven. Why on earth would you want to allow it to continue? Why not call the Humane Society and report the dog as a stray. You can be sure that they will read this guy the riot act when he picks him up. If he doesn't pick him up then he has a good chance at a happy life in a new home. Just a thought. |

| ![]() I would call. You have to protect your babies. You already did the right thing by trying to talk to the guy first & he obviously doesn't care. I'm not one to start arguments & fights with the neighbors, but you've already given him his chance. He needs to learn to control his dog.

| ![]() Thanks for your suggestions! I would do anything for my boys. Suffer bodily harm? No problem. My hesitation is this.... I don't live in the best neighborhood and I am single and live by myself. This guy has teenagers, and I'd rather not have drama. But even if it's a choice between them and Otie and Ollie, I choose my boys. I was glad to hear that he would be issued a warning and citation before they actually take the dog. They seem like a nice enough family, they just don't see their dog like we see ours. And I don't think they have the mentality to understand what he could do to mine, and the seriousness of his breaking out of their yard and jumping fences into ours. Thanks everyone!

| ![]() Hey gingergirlsmom, funny you should ask. I've had a week from XXXX at work and now my car is dead with only 57,000 miles. I wish I had a husband!!!! So, last night I happened to see the same black lab running through my front yard. At least he didn't jump the back fence and my boys weren't out but still, he was OUT again. It was 7pm so animal control was closed. I plan to call them on Monday. They really need to take responsibility for their animal. On top of the week I had, when I saw that dog out running again I was FURIOUS!! I will definately call on Monday. Thanks for asking about it. I sure hope there are no consequences. They won't know for sure it was me. Thanks again. I'll keep you updated.

| ![]() well maybe you could call them and tell them you don't want them to know who calle dbecause you don't want those people to hassle you but you also don't want your little dogs to be at rish i'm sure they could say it was anomous call. |

| ![]() Since this dog makes his rounds all over the neighborhood, it could be anyone calling to complain. Just don't say anything more to the owner. He's probably forgotten all about you by now anyway. You can always have a male friend call for you, so the "anonymous" call came from a man! |

| ![]() I once had a husky who was next to impossible to confine, she would pull apart chainlink dog runs, jump a 6 foot fence run out the door every chance she had.I loved her very much but did not want to see her get hit by a car or harm a dog or person ,even accidently. She like most runners needed more exercise than I was able to provide for her.The only way I could confine her was on a tie out. This broke my heart.I put her up on Siberian husky rescue and found her a home with a very active family. She gets to go jogging every day!!I used to think I failed her,but now I know I did the right thing.I hope this dogs owner will do the right thing for the safty of your babies and his.Getting him neutered would be a good start.Well I am sure you will do what is right for your family.Good Luck!
