Can you tell me more about how to go about adopting one of these little ones? Or are they all spoken for? I've been following this thread and I just want to make sure these little ones have the BEST forever home! They deserve it! |

I love you to death. You are always so truthful, encouraging, wise, and supportive! I wish everyone had the same fire in the belly that you have. You have my respect. And thank you so much for helping that poor baby. |
I don't think any of these babies are spoken for yet because after she sent me the pics I replied back and asked her if she thought I could adopt one in the near future and she replied back yes. She also said that today she is going back to rescue 4 more. The e-mail she used when she sent me the pics is asiandogrescue@aol.com. It was such a relief to get her e-mail last night. I don't know her name but she's good about replying so I'd just send her an e-mail. I'm a so ready to take one of these little guys home. I'm already looking at the baby name book I used to pick Bentley's name...lol |

PS at the end of my messages I did say "AND SHAMEY ON TENN LAW OFFICIALS" |
Those pics just make my skin crawl, who ever is doing this should have the crap beat out of them, to let those poor babies get in such a extreme condition....I don't care who gets pissed, I have called everybody from the gov., state reps, local news station, rescue groups down...We sit on here and look at our pretty babies, (I am the worst) but these precious little souls need our help...I gave a donation, but I will be damn if they give it back to that breeder to further her cause....I have been in touch also about adoption...I have even contact knox county reps. about our laws, I don't live in the same county but my God this is awful, most of the city, county, state reps are up for re-election so if enough noise is made maybe they will change the laws..I must have been really blind not to understand how some people are, I have been involved with cat rescue for awhile now, but how in God's name could anyone do this...I want to thank all of the YT's that have really been concerned..It doesn't matter where we live, one voice makes a dent, a whole chorus can move mountains....So please keep up the great work, and we all need to really pray that maybe we can help to stop this crap nationwise...I think we all have seen that when we all truly & sincerely pray for each other alot of things happen, maybe we can all do the same for all the precious babies in the states that are in puppy mills...I am sorry I will get off my soap box, but when I seen those pics, how could any of us on here that care so much for our babies, not be affected by this...If you know of anything else I or others can do please tell us.....:( |
I'm really proud of you guys !!! You're trying and that's the way to get action. I know its really frustrating when you feel people are too busy to bother - but it reflects on the Nature of the Town if the people in power can sit by and watch this kind of thing happen. I'll be happy to write them from Houston if you give me some email addresses. Most small towns don't want to be known as uncaring....maybe if they start hearing from people all across the country they may take more notice ? |
I'm not going to fight with you, if you don't have dogs chained to the front of your house, then obviously I didn't mean you. You can't be serious that you don't see the same things I do. The lack of value of an animal in this area (IN GENERAL) especially in more rural areas is OBVIOUS. If you don't see it, I'm sorry. You're right East TN is beautiful, a lot of the PEOPLE, IGNORANT redneck people are NOT beautiful, they are animal abusers! Again, this is not directed at you whether you live in a trailer, an apartment, a mansion or a cardboard box, unless you choose to make it directed at you. Quote:

I am proud of you guys too, I am glad so many are interested in helping, good for you! I do want to point out a little tidbit about adopting rescued mill dogs.. keep in mind, these dogs MAY (and I say may because I don't know them personally) be basicly like Feral cats.. non trusting to humans (understandibly) with behavioral issues, on top of the obvious health issues. IF YOU OFFER And APPLY to adopt a dog.. remember this is not going to be like bringing home an innocent fluffy puppy to love, these babies have deep emotional scars, and need an extra special parent to help them through learning humans are GOOD, and to help them with any behavioral issues. If you are up for the task, WONDERFUL! If not, it is better to let them be adopted by someone who is, than to have them just be returned into rescue (not that that was ever your intent) and more confused. Quote:

Vi, I just went back thru my PM's and history at the top, I can NOT find the link for the Tenn reps & governor. SOMEONE here on this thread gave it to me. Please who ever you are post it again. It gives ALL of us a choice to mail, e-mail or leave a message for any of Tenn's representatives and also the governor. As PEANUT said: one voice makes a dent, a whole chorus moves a mountain. I bet IF each and every one of us leaves messages, sends e-mail or mail TENN representatives WILL do something about caring for not only the manged animals but also the ones someone said gets chained to the fence & not cared for. Can you just imagine how fast they will move IF each & every one of us calls and sends our feelings. NEXT we can have the one who lives nearby keep us posted on the "improvement" If you see none, then we start calling and writing again. It will work |
Thanks Patti - This one right ? http://www.tennesseeanytime.org/government/elected.html and you go girl ! I bet your letters were great too. |

YUP that's the one, and you all can see how much I can write, you should have seen my long letter to them, all phone messages and letters ending with "Shamey on Tenn officials" that's the link I had, wonder where I put it and who sent it to me hmm, well it don't matter now, as long as it's here for EVERYBODY to copy and mail or phone too. I bet they may get tired and a bit shaken if phone calls are coming from all over the USA :D |

i do agree with you on the animal abuse issue...however for some reason the comment about the trailer just struck a cord.....i dont want to fight either thats not why i come here....so just let it go.....like i said b4 i do agree that ppl dont know how to care for their animals or better yet just done care enough to take care of them and that is the sad part they look at them as nothing more than money makers.....i believe that animlas should have rights also because they have feeling just like humans....just because they cant talk to us dont mean they dont feel pain and emotions the same as we do....i just couldnt imagine someone being mean to my Bo....he is my baby and is like one of our kids....my hubbby loves him as much if not more than i do (if thats possiable lol)....but anyway i just wanted to say i think it is wrong for these poor babies to go though this and i can see why the ppl here dont want to give the breeder money to go and do it agian....it seems to me like a win/loose situation win for the babies but loosing for us to give money to the breeder but if it takes that to get them out them i am willing to donate to them.....*hugs* to the babies and i am still praying for their safe rescue. |

Hand written letters get faster attention, so maybe others will do the same. Starting at the top is always the best way to go in a situation as this. Then next is the Governor, shame on Senator Bill Frist I copied the pictures and sent in my letter. Here is the Governor's information below: Mr. Phil Bredesen Governor's Office Tenneessee State Capital Nashville, TN. 37243-0001 Telephone: 615-741-2001 FAX: 615.532.9711 Email: phil bredesen@state.tn.us I also hand wrote Governor Phil Bredesen and also sent him copies of the pictures. Shame on each of those holding political office in TN. This really needs to be directed at the two top people of your state their in Tenneessee and then down the chain to others. Patti |

OK Baby Blessing: Somehow I missed the FIRST ADDRESS, doing it tonight as soon as I get in from work... Thanks for posting the link here, I have to learn how to do that, I can't even put a link in my text tho, ALL my teenagers are grown, so I don't leanr anything new anymore!! ok got my homework cut out for me tonight, even tho I e-mailed-and called. I will backtrack & do it in writing too. Extra duty on the one I missed:) |
This Is Disgusting This is disgusting!!! Not only did I donate, but I am also praying long and hard that when these people, and other abusers as well, DIE and are before God on their JUDGEMENT DAY, that he send them DIRECTLY to HELL They belong NO OTHER PLACE THAN THAT!!!! I am sorry for being so blunt, but I can not understand how this goes on in the year 2006. I could never wish any human being any harm or wrong doing while they are here on earth, but I can certain wish for very HARD PUNISHMENT after they have been judge before God. AND I DO!!! I also wanted to say THANK YOU to all Rescue Workers and Volunteers and Hands On People. GREAT JOB, please keep it up!!! :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :good job: :good job: :good job: :clapsmile :clapsmile :clapsmile |

4 Attachment(s) I am sending doggie licks from each and every one of these precious neglected ones to each of you that have taken the time to write and phone elected officials in the State of TN. on their behalf. They want your voices heard, Just look at their pictures and know that your helping to make a difference for them and for all other abused animals in the State of TN. in the future YOUR CALLS AND EMAILS AND LETTERS WILL DEFINATELY MAKE A DIFFERENCE. These pictures were taken from another post here in this thread, I hated to put them up here, it is so heartbreaking, but it will remind each of us that our phone calls and letters and emails are very important. Patti To send a picture to one of the State Elected Officials right click onto the photo and save in your computer and send it to them in an email. It doesn't matter what State you live in to complain this is America. Thank God for the freedom to speak up. |
GREAT!!! Tomorrow I will be MAILING away...........:) |

NO WAY IT DOESN'T MATTER. I live in Michgan, the object is for the Tenn MAYOR GAVERNOR & State reps to hear from all over the US and maybe they will clean it up and stop disgracing Tenn... I wrote in my letter that I see ads and commercial to come visit Tenn for a vacation and asked them, Now why would I want to do that, I would get sick seeing this kind of stuff done to animals! send away New York, BTW where in NY? I was born raised in NY and go there every few months to take care of my senile Gramma who keeps yelling at me "Hey you, where are the cats?" lol she is a cutie and means well tho, once I say Gramma they are right there BUT they are not cats, they are doggies, she yells "Then put them in the yard where the dogs belong" I say Gramma no no, they are lap dogs, she then insists they MUST be cats afterall, look at them, they're cats! Anyway her house is in Queens NY where I grew up, sister is in Ronkonkoma, Long Island now, others scattered all over. |
I am from NJ. I have been 'scattered' myself, all over Long Island for the past 10 years. I currently live with my husband and 2 furbabies (Roxy and TJ) in Brookhaven, right next to Bellport Village. (South Shore Eastern Long Island) ...small world  |
Another thing I added in my letters was the fact the the Animal Shelter in Arkansas has a recording on it's phone and it says call the police if you suspect animal cruelity or neglect.... If Arkansas and 48 other states can deal with it, then why can't you TENN? |
I will write letters also. |
