| Your Favorite Must Have Products I'm currently in the process of researching about yorkies and puppy care. So far I've called all the breeders on the ytca website near me and found one that I love. She has one that is expecting puppies early October and they'll be ready in early January. I know it's still a long while til then, but I want to be fully prepared and just wanted your opinions on your favorite products (shampoo, treats, food, grooming tools, etc.) and any other advice you can give me to start being prepared. I had a doxie when I was young, but it was mostly my mom's dog. So this is kind of my first dog and I've been wanting a yorkie ever since I graduated college, but wasn't ready, and now I feel I am settled enough and ready to take on this responsibility. I hope I meet lots of yorkie lovers here also. |

| 1. Nutrical - if you don't know about this, do a search here, there is LOTS of information. 2. Plush Puppy natural silk protein conditioner - no matter what shampoo use, she has a beautiful shiny coat with this. 3. Metal comb 4. Digital Camera 5. Hard chew toys (she's a really strong chewer for such a little thing) 6. Perfectly sized crate. Not too big or too small. 7. X-pen, it's amazing how many uses I've had for this.

| If she is a YTCA Member and as good as you think, she will be suppling you with a lot of information. This will be including diet, proper care instructions, and products that will be good for your puppy. Anyone that comes here stays for a few hours, 2-3 always, there is just so much to talk about and learn about each other before a puppy leaves with them. I noticed someone mentioned Plush Puppy, I personally do not care for it on Yorkies with a silky coat. You can spend and spend money, there are new products everyday and many times the same thing with a new label! Yorkies really need very little beyond the basics, safe toys, a lap, good nutrition. They are a wonderful addition for anyone to have. Cynthia

| My all-time favorite products are: 1. NutriCal. 2. Nice sized wire crate - in it I have a nice comfy bed w/ blanket, pee pad, food, water, toys! (But, if your little has a problem with going to the bathroom in his/her crate, then you will need a much smaller one w/o the food, water, and pee pad) 3. Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lovers Soul hard dog food - my picky picky eaters just LOVE this stuff! I never have to supplement it with any human food because they eat it right up. It's all-natural and very very healthy. 4. Missing Link supplement - I sprinkle it on their food every morning and it makes their coat so nice and shiny! Also alleviated their super dry, flaky skin! 5. Bones to chew on - mine love the pressed rawhide bones (Some will say rawhide is a no no, but the pressed rawhide bones are too hard for them to actually "eat," they just chew on them), and Nylabone Healthy Edibles cheese flavor! Keeps them busy for hours! 6. Kong Toys - my 2 need toys that are "indestructible"! Kongs are the best. They have all the kongs in different shapes and sizes. It is the only toy they have not managed to tear up! |
