Well, my dad said he's not ready for a dog.

I tried everything to get him to go get Chancie. I used guilt, I used influence on grandchildren, I used the bond of a father/daughter trip to get him.

No luck what so ever. He spend alot of time traveling on his motorcycle since my mom passed, and is just not ready to take care of anything else (My mom was very ill for a long time).

I also tried my sister and she wanted him but she does have another dog. So no go on that front too...I'm also going to check with DH's mom...she is "empty nesting" and loves my Daphne

...I'm going to start spreading the word at work...Let's see if we can find him a home!!!!

I know there will be someone special out there for chancey they just havent meet yet.Hey everyone when a yorkie is really sick on here everyone prays really hard for them well lets do it for chancey lets pray he finds a really devoted owner and special home.

Yorkie24U, I am the 2nd one that WAS going to drive over & adopt Chancie, I still feel like it everyday I know he is still not adopted but Tiffany (Tmathers) went to check him out before my drive and called & told me how he attacks other dogs, I have a 1 yr old and a almost 5 months old and her advice was to not take a chance (no pun intended) I respected her opinion because she knows all about dogs and this last year has been my first time having furbabies, so I felt she knew more then me. As she said, How do we take a chance with our babies we have now?

That's why everyone was saying he needs to go to a "forever home" where he will be the only dog

You are so right in saying it feels like a month or two. But in actually it was only last weekend I was taking my "road trip to Chancie" I am just now getting over that down feeling of letting him down.

Hon, You didn't let him down! If he needs a home where he is the only dog, then you made a very good decision for both your furbabies and for him. I am sure the perfect mom/dad is just waiting for him and will give him the best home where he is the only furbaby and he will be the center of their attentions. Please do not feel like you let him down! You really didn't!

Thanks Willow, I do but I am recuperating and getting back to normal, of course the heavy duty posting I have been doing on other subjects has helped, as did YT... I used to just read before, hardly ever posted

, Now everyone can be glad I won't be writing paragraphs in posts, since I am slowly getting back to myself. I guess I was diving into all the other subjects here, trying to forget "chancie"

Strange, I didn't realize how much he began to mean to me, in such a short time, I was so looking foward to that long drive to drive back with him. ok moving on

Kim assured us that Chancie would not be put down no matter what so he is safe till he gets a home

Amber is right. He has absolutely ZERO chance of being put down. I am going to call Kim for an update tomorrow, so I will post and let all of you know what she says. Hopefully good things happened this weekend!
