Thanks for the information and links - I will definitely look at them. The vet told me to give them 3 oz every three hours but I was tube feeding them. I don't think I'm going to do that anymore. I'll try bottle feeding them. Sweet Pea has always been a picky eater - [real hard to find something she would eat. Her temp was elevated on Tuesday to 102 but they said she was dehydrated as were the pups and they gave them fluids under the skin. The pups weigh 4.15 oz and 5.05 oz as of today.

Thanks everyone. I will definitely look at the links. Sweet Pea has always been a picky eater - not even chicken would interest her. It's a constant battle. The vet told me to tube feed the pups 3 ozs every three hours around the clock. I think I will switch to bottle feeding but they don't seem to like it. They are constantly trying to nurse but there's not much milk there. One weighed 3.05 at birth, now is 4.15 and the other was 3.50 at birth and is now 5.05 oz's.

102 isn't a fever in a dog, but I would check her temp. again to make sure it hasn't went up since Tuesday. | |

I would have suggested beer, but with her not eating and drinking enough - that's the problem. I learned 1 tsp. of beer (preferably dark) for every 5 pounds. It must be the hops in beer because dark beer has more hops than light colored beer.

The puppers are doing really good. I just weighed them and they weighed 8.05 and 8.30. Sweet Pea is eating well but she has been enraged with the dad to the extent that she's shaking. The next step is to have their tails docked which is going to hurt my heart!!!
