| WOOHOO That is the second best news I've read today (Sammi's latest update was great news!!)!!! I'm so excited and happy for you ![]() Name? Hmmm.....everyone seems to be leaning towards Lucky or Chance, both of which are very fitting - because of you, he is getting a second chance at life and extremely lucky to have you in his life so how bout the 2 together, "Lucky's Chance in Texas"?? Again, I'm so happy for you!!! Can't wait til you have him in your arms - you must post pics - we all feel like he's part of us as we've fought this fight with you, bitten our nails off, you name it!!! Now, enjoy your week-end ![]() ![]() Suzi

| Yay!! I just got back from the Bentonville Shelter. I got a call from Cheryl on my way telling me she got him! I decided to go by anyway to see if they would let me take some pics of him to post...so I get to this teeny-tiny shelter...the sign says "by appointment only", but I go in anyway. There was a police officer there putting down fresh water for the dogs. I asked for Kim and he said that she is actually from SOS (save our strays) and she has him. He told me that he was the one who picked the little guy up and that was pretty scared and snippy. He said the dog never warmed up to him even later when he tried to make friends later in the kennel. I told him that Yorkies are gender preferential sometimes ( mine are!) and maybe he'll be fine as soon as he's in a less stressful environment. I can only imagine what Scout would do in that situation! Unfortunately as you have already guessed, I didn't get any pictures. The one thing that DID happen is me feeling really sorry for all those dogs at the shelter. It was such a tiny little shelter and really run down. I was surprised because Bentonville is a very progressive community. It is the Home office of Wal-Mart corporate. I wish the Walton family would take a look at the shelter and build them a new one....maybe I will start a campaign!! The animals looked well taken care of and the officer I met was nice. They had a very pretty yellow lab and a black mix dog out in the yard. The yellow lab kept looking at me and wagging her tail. She looked like she wanted to come home with me....I'm so sad. If I had a yard with a fence, I would have three dogs right now. Just so HAPPY FOR CHERYL!!!!!

| Yaaaaaayyyy!!!!! I'm soooo happy this is working out! This is one of the many things I love about yorkietalk, people coming together to help each other and help our yorkie friends. You do realize, I hope, that now you'll have to start a thread to keep us posted on the new little guy settling in!!!!

| Thats such great news! I hope when you get him he settles in quickly and any bitey behaviour goes once he knows he's safe. How about Oliver (or Olly) for a name like Oliver Twist cos he had bad times and was lost then found a family and lived happy ever after.. awwwwww
