![]() I wanted to welcome all the newbies. I also love to hear everyones stories and love to see pics of our babies. A little about myself. My name is Marisa and im from NYC. Im a mother of 2, 12 yr old son and 4 yr old daugther. Im amrried for 13 yrs now. We got Gucci in Sept of last year. I found this site while researching for info about ringworm. My poor baby came with it from the breeders. She is fine now, but it took us like 5 month of treatment for her to be cured. At this time im a housewife, im on ssd due to fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and depression. Getting Gucci has being so beneficial for our family. Once again Welcome everyone and I hope you love it here as much as I do. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Marie; 04-26-2005 at 07:13 PM.

![]() Welcome to everyone considered a newbie. I have been posting to YT for a few months now. I am 28 years old and a future Yorkie dad... I live in NYC and work as a consulting enginer in Manhattan. I've been doing my homework and research though many sites and have learned so much from all of you here at YT. I plan to raise a Yorkie along with my girlfriend/soon-to-be-fiancee. We love the breed and would love to have a new addition to our lives!

![]() Hi all, I joined back in March, so I guess I'm not a newbie newbie but I never formally introduced myself. I appreciate the welcome - I am 39 (too soon to be 40 - in July) and work at a One Stop Career Center in DeLand, FL (about 20 miles outside of Daytona Beach. I got my baby Tucker back in February and was ecstatic. I have had two yorkies previously and wouldn't have considered anything else once I bought my house. I'd been living with my dad for a couple of years with my 17 year old son, and was unable to have a dog - it was a little too crowded already. But, my life is now complete - I have my own home and a new baby (Tucker). What more could a girl need? I so appreciate all the information and support available here on YT. I have learned bunches. I still haven't figured out how to make Tuck's picture small enough to be my avatar, but oh well. I have to leave my baby on Sunday to go to a Workforce conference in Miami for four days and am just heartsick! I know my son will pamper and care for him, but still! Waaah! I'll miss him so much - I hope he won't be traumatized by my absence - I plan to have a talk with him in hopes he'll understand... Hee Hee. Of course, I'll call and make my son put the phone to his ear, but it's going to be a long four days! By the way, my name is Dana (female) it's one of those gender-neutral names so I wanted to clarify... Thanks for everything!!

![]() Hi - My name is Frankie and my darling yorkie is Sabrina - she's 10 years old. I'm from the South of Corpus Christi Texas, retired, grandma of a boy and a girl, mom of a boy, and live next door to my parents! We have 2 long horns, my parents have a 18 year old schnauzer, 10 year old yorkie (my yorkie's aunt!) 4 - 5 cats (we feed anything that shows up) and I want another yorkie. This site is wonderful. I just found food that was advised that Sabrina will actually eat. I've learned more in the past week or 2 than I have in YEARS!. Ha. These people are wonderful. My mother got her yorkie first (I had lost my peke about 2 years before and just couldn't bear the thought of another animal), but I spent so much time over there messing with her pup she told me to go get my own! So, I did. Ha. I sure wish I could find her breeder again - she is the sweetest best thing I've ever done. Nice to get aquainted with you!

![]() My name is Sherry i'm 47 from missouri, I've been married to a big softy for 25 years. Two grown boys one is 29 the other is 17. I have 4 yorkie, Tiki is 7 years, misssy is about 2 years, fred is 1 year, and my youngest is molly she is 12 weeks old. There is a funny story when i first got my first yorkie. Wasn't funny then but it is now. One christmas eve i called about an ad in the paper about a yorkie , The road were a little on the slick side. My husband was none to happy with me about wanting a dog. Throwing a fit like a big baby. I told him it was my house too and i had want one for a long time. I left and picked up my sister on the way to get my dog. Well, he was so mad at me ..i slept on the couch for the next 3 day.He would not have anything to do with the dog at all. WELL, the little pup over the next couple week would not leave him alone. She go over to where he was setting and play with his feet. Finally one day he reached down to pet her and that as they say was all she rode. He was lost and is now the biggest softy there is. All i have to say now is daddy's home they all run for the door and dance around his legs. He has to pick each one up give them kisses. But, the funny thing is, Tiki is the one he didn't want and now is his pick and he is hers. My dog i spent 3 day on the couch for, likes my husband better then me. ![]()

![]() Well, I'm a newbie too! I've been lurking for a few weeks but finally decided to register and post yesterday. I have learned a lot and I do appreciate all the helpful information. Our Yorkie is named Rowdy. Actually, he is my husband's dog. My husband is chronically ill and had to retire unexpectedly last year. He can't do very much and is home almost all of the time. He absolutely loves dogs and so we decided to get a Yorkie because a little dog could go about everywhere he goes. His sister has a Yorkie so we knew a bit about them. We live in Texas. I work and am gone all day, but as I said my husband is home with Rowdy. When I come home though, I yell, "Rowdy" when I get in the house and he comes running. He is absolutely adorable! We have some pix of him but I haven't had time to read about how to post them, I will sometime. I also want to say that Rowdy has done wonders for my husband. Now, he has a reason to get up and around each and every day. He smiles, laughs, and has something other than himself and his problems to focus on. I'm afraid that Rowdy will be very very spoiled with such undivided attention - but I guess that's OK! Thanks again to everyone for all the helpful information! ![]()

![]() Hey everyone. I'm Robyn, 20 years old, and I'm a sophomore at Radford University. My major is Special Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing with a minor in theatre. I did an internship for Walt Disney World in the spring of 2003 (I'm a second year sophomore... :\ ) and I worked for them seasonally until this summer, where I'm going back to do a second internship just for the summer (I leave in 2 weeks!). I work in the entertainment department, helping the characters. *side note: my screen name is Mickey is a gyrl because everyone in my school's theatre department calls me Mickey!* My family bought a Yorkie in late December, and brough him home January 2nd. Before Tristan, we had a mixed breed that we rescued from the shelter when I was 6. She had liver cancer, and she passed away while I was home for Thanksgiving break, the Monday before my 20th birthday. My parents asked me if I'd like to be there at the vet's when she passed, because she was my first dog. A 65-lb dog living to be 14 is quite a feat, though, so she lived a long, full life. Now, I like to call her my Nana, because she followed me everywhere when I had knee surgery (I've had 2), and she even learned how to nudge my crutches onto their side so it would be easier for me to pick them up after my second. Anyway. I stumbled across this site because I was looking for a Burberry sweater in the classic tan, black and white plaid for Tristan, and I'm glad I found it! It's distracting me from studying for my final I have tomorrow... ![]()
