*****Josie: Update****
 

This seems like a really bad nightmare, and I just can't seem to wake up. My eyes are so swollen (ice won't work) it hurt to open them this morning.

Right after my last post last night, Hubby fessed up he didn't want to get my hopes up but, he couldn't handle the stress anymore.He received a call (about 3:35 pm) and did'nt want to get my hopes up, because things were going not so well....

from a kid (between 15-17 years) HE HAD FOUND JOSIE! She had ran up to his drive ways just a couple of blocks away. He already owned three (3) dogs and gave Josie away to a another kid who lives 45 minutes away in a different town.

The kid in the other town gave Josie to his Sister (22 yr old), who had always wanted a Yorkie. The Sister lives in... SANTA BARBARA 3.5 hours away. (She was down visiting) MY BABY IS IN Santa Barbara!!!! Yes, this is about the part where I lost it. This all happened in 2 hour gaps.

Finally after no phone calls being returned and me a total mess. By now it's 9:20 pm I had to take something to make myself fall asleep. I just felt so sick to my stomach.

Hubby called the Police and a report was opened and the Police went to the first Kid's house and talked to him for an hour. The Police was at our house till 12:30 am. Hubby did all the talking and hard work (I was sleeping) I love him!

He managed to get the Girl's number in Santa Barbara and talked to her. She didn't want to give Josie back. Can you belive, she wants to keep her? She said that she had always wanted a Yorkie. That she couldn't belive she actually had one, and she knew it was too good to be true. AHHH YEAH- - That's MY dog... MY CHILD!!!!

To make a long story (already), short. Her Husband works in my town and he should be on his way here, I HOPE. Hubby is going to call him at 9:30 am.(we have his cell #)
A lot of this story seems like BULL to me, but I have to belive I will see my baby again.

Oh My!!! I really hope this nightmare is over soon and you have Josie back in your arms. We are all thinking about you right now!

OMG, she wanted to keep Josie and didn't want to return her?!?!?!?!


I am so happy that Josie is alive and well. All of us on YT have been so worried and concerned. Please let us know ASAP when Josie is in your arms!

That is just unbelievable! I would kick that kid from here to his sisters then back again! Well you did the right thing to inform the police and it sounds like Josie will be back shortly.

I know we here are all very happy for you and so sorry that you had to go through such stress. What a bunch of jerks!

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!! I am NOT believing what I'm reading!! This is SUCH a HUGE break!!!!!!! I'm thrilled that you're making progress with getting little Josie back. This whole thing is so strange to me. It reminds me of the lady a couple of weeks back who had her yorkie stolen by her NEIGHBOR and her neighbor refused to give it back! :mad: Some people in this world are just SO incredibly IGNORANT!!!!!! They make me SO mad :mad:

I wish you all the luck in the world that it works out for you. It sounds like you are doing EVERYTHING right. Now the hard part is the waiting game. PLEASE PLEASE let us know as soon as you talk to her hubby. Maybe he'll bring Josie back to you on his way to work today!

I will continue to keep you, Josie, and the rest of your family in my prayers until this whole ordeal is resolved!

Its scary how quickly they can travel so far away... by no doing of their own!!!!

She only made it a few houses down???? Gezz!!!! And us HUMANS managed to take her hours away! Yikes!

OMG don't let up for a min she will keep her call her and tell the cops she said she didn't want to give her back get her address and go get her asap don't trust her she will say she ran from her and she doesn't have her anymore please don't trust anyone good luck please let us know!!

Great news! I hope all goes well and Josie is brought back to you today. Keeping your vet records handy is a good idea just in case you need any kind of proof...pictures too...that's the only way my sister got her Yorkie back from the woman who took him from her front porch. Good luck...our good thoughts are with you!

I can't believe that girl would even think of not giving her back, I would want to come throught that phone and snatch a knot in her a&&! :mad: Thank godness that teenage boy called! I'm praying for her safe return ASAP!

That stupid girl!! That is not her dog!!! She better give Josie back, or she will have to deal with the Yorkietalk gang. Anyone got a rope??

She's been told the Police are involved . The Police said that anything over $400.00 is considered GRAND Theft. The report is going to be kept opened untill we have her back in our arms, taken her to the Vet and have her checked out.

I wonder if there are any YT members in Santa Barbara that could go get her??
