| Nasty!!! Nasty!!! Help!! I never thought I would say this about my little angel but she is nasty little puppy All day she was running around the yard like sniffing "something" in the air and guess what it was?? A big cat poop and she ate it all I am a person with a weak stomach and ended up bringing up my lunch as I picked her up to take her inside(at this point I didn't know she had ate the poo) When I picked her up to take her inside and something near her mouth stunk soooo freaking bad I almost passed out, why does she do this? I buy her treats and feed her plenty Does anyone ever had this experience or have anybody any advice? Please help!! I dont want a stinky dog It makes so mad cause she looked so darn cute in her little dress I was taking pictures of her

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | well first off your lil girl is very cute! Her dress is just darling! But I must tell you that are dogs are not innocent perfect lil angels! Lillie still is eating her own pooh and it drives me up the wall! for one, I kiss her with that mouth so I sure don't want her doing that. All I can say is we have to let them know this is not exceptable behavior, hopefully they will grow out of it. |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | first let me just say "LOOK AT THOSE EARS!!!!!!" i could just eat them up! i love ears LOL ok about the poop. didn't you know, cat poop is a delicacy in the dog world. there's really no rhyme or reason for why your girl ate the cat poop. it just tasted good at the time. my stinky girl likes to eat rabbit poop in the backyard. everytime the nose goes in the grass i gotta yell no at her because i know she's digging for poop.

| We have three cats and although Bella has never got at their poo... she has been known to eat up some cat puke before we've had a chance to clean it! I'll walk over to see what she's eating and there's just a little bit left. Now that's gross! LOL. She also likes to sniff the cats butts which to me is soooo gross. |

| Whats even grosser is when they eat the cat poop then throw it up. My Chachi has done that.

| Just when we think they ARE our human babies, they go and do something ANIMALS do! I guess it is just a friendly reminder. Trust me, if there was a nasty, stinky little dead aminal in your yard, she'd scarf that up too. Try to scope the yard out before letting her out. ....and don't worry, she is not only adorable....she is absolutely NORMAL |

| she's normal. it's gross, i know, but normal. most dogs grow out of the "eating their own poop" stage, but many will forever eat cat poop. Sorry to tell you that...my parent's dog ate cat poop all the time if Mom didn't keep the litter box cleaned (which she did, but I mean if the cat went before she had a chance to clean it up).

| You'll get over it... I was SO grossed out I wanted to throw up when my perfect little angel Pixie did that for the first time.... She doesn't normally eat poo. In fact, she won't even go NEAR her own. I have to pick it up off her pad before she'll walk on it again... I don't know what it is about kitty "products" though. Poo, hairballs, vomit, whatever. She'll eat it. It's still gross, but now I don't freak as much. I just pick her up, grab her toothbrush and give her a good brushing. About an hour after that she's back to licking my face. |

| I freaked the first time Mojo did this, I asked some friends and they said that it was a sign that he needed protein or something, so I was even more concerned and made a vet appt. (I didn't feel dumb at all!HA) Anyway, the vet said that there was no "good" reason for dogs to do that, but they almost all do and it is just a good treat for them. Well, we no longer have cats, so that works fine......................although, the other day, the little stinker was outside and was rolling around in something. I walked closer it is was a pile of deer poop (little round pellets). He did manage to eat a few before I got to me. YUCK! He does still stick his face in our German Sheppards behind (when she is sitting or laying down, of course). Dogs............

| I know it sounds weird. but Guinea Pigs do this as well(not eat cat poop, but they eat their own as a part of their lifestyle.) for them they can't digest the vitamen B and for some reason the eat the moist poops and somehow by eating it the second time they are able to intake that vitamen. (I read it in a small pets magazine, plus I was a pet specialist for almost three years.)
