I know it sounds weird. but Guinea Pigs do this as well(not eat cat poop, but they eat their own as a part of their lifestyle.) for them they can't digest the vitamen B and for some reason the eat the moist poops and somehow by eating it the second time they are able to intake that vitamen. (I read it in a small pets magazine, plus I was a pet specialist for almost three years.)
