| My guys love my grandkids. Of course they are both still puppies, but I can't see that changing as long as I don't allow the kids to abuse them. |

| Zoe tends to be a bit timid at times, especially around kids that yank at her...she'll hide when they are too rough. those that are gentle are the kids she tolerates.

| Why is it that Yorkies fear/hate/bark @ kids?? Angel did this to DJ30's brother-in-law's niece.

| Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | My guys are wary of kids but not terrified. If the kid is nice and just wants to pet them, they're OK with that. As soon as they swarm and try to pick them up, they run. I used to allow kids to pick them up, but I stopped. The kids get distracted, and the next thing you know they're hanging onto them with one hand and eating an icecream with the other.

| My Niece is 10 and my nephew is 8 and Rylie is great with them (Rylie is 7 months), always wants to play and when they sleep over Rylie's the first one to jump on the bed and give them morning kisses whether they want them or not I also have a 2 year old cousin Rylie has only met him once but she was pretty good with him, We'll see how this christmas goes, it will be Rylie's first Christmas and the kids in the family range from 13,11,10,8,2, and a new born baby.

| Jasmine loves everyone. Especially the kids. When we take her places (and she goes with us a lot) she wants everyone to pay attention to her and when she does her little dance on her back legs with her little front paws up begging for attention, she definitely gets it. We took her to ball games all summer and everyone loved her but the ones she particuarly liked were the kids. I have 8 grandchildren ranging in age from 5 to 21 and Jas loves all of them. I just had a new greatgrandbaby in June and Jas loves her too. I was afraid she would be jealous because of all the attention and cuddling I was giving the baby, but she just waited her turn and jumped up on me for her cuddling as soon as I put the baby down. She always wanted to sniff the baby and lick her toes. I put the baby on my bed one day and stood back to see what Jas would do and she just sniffed her all over and then laid down a little back from the baby. She was very gentle around her. I'm like the other YTer who posted in this thread, I think I have the perfect Yorkie. She is so pretty, funny, sweet, loveable, and very, very smart. I wouldn't change anything about her. Our Westie also loves everyone including kids. |

| My yorkie is in love with kids, maybe because she was always around them. But seriously, she's happy to see almost anyone and kids are no different. The only exception is when she has puppies, but that's only because she's protective of them as all mothers are |

| Maddie loves kids. I have a 2 yr old and a 12 yr old. She's only 5 months old. If my 2yr old is watching a movie or something Maddie will bark at her til she runs around and plays with her. They are so cute together. Lexi is great with Maddie. She knows to be gentle. |

| We don't have any kids in the family, but whenever we come across them in public Howie seems to like them fine. We plan on having kids of our own in 5 years or so and figured we would get the dog now so he would be calm and well trained by the time babies came around.
