Just curious about full grown yorkies Just curious.... How long did it take for your baby's coloring to fully mature & how old was he/she when they stopped growing? (mine is only 6 months and 5 lbs....bigger than both his parents already & his 'roots' are already pretty long) And....please tell me that older yorkies don't loose their playfullness or spunk when they get older like some breeds do???

They have their adult coat around 18 mo to 2 yrs. I have a 2 year 4 mo old and she is staying pretty much the same color. The one thing I have noticed change in the last 6 months is her tan points have become a deeper color (more reddish). I was told by a breeder once that those areas do deepen in color as they age. And no they may settle some as they mature, but they keep their fiesty and spunky ways. They just get better and better with age. Telea

| I've noticed the maturity take place between 18 months and 2 years. Both my boys seemed to fill out and become muscular around 18 mos., and both reached their adult weight by 2 yrs. And yes, they never lose their spunk and playfulness!

Chloe is 2 1/2 and Lacey is 2. Lacey still looks and acts like a puppy but Chloe has become more relaxed (another word for lazy). Their weight is fine, so I try to engage them in play, which they do but Lacey will play with a ball by herself while Chloe will get bored and go snooze.

My Tiah is well over 3 years and still changing color. They are all individuals, but I have noticed a lot of them get lighter as they get older.
