| Is your baby a woos!! LOL Diesel is scared of his own shadow half of the time. He does not like strangers period. He doesn't bite but won't go over to them. He will hide under my feet. He doesn't bark at all just hides. Not sure if it is a good idea but the kids just love him. The kids at my daughter's gym will pick him up and love all over him. He just goes with the flow. He has never nipped at or growled at anyone. Any suggestions on how to break him of this. He goes with us a lot and people always make over him. He is a year old now and I am wondering if this is how he will always be. Even as a pup he was really shy. Now when it comes to other dogs he loves to play. He perks up and his little tail will just wag. At home when we get down on his level to play and we act like we are sniffing around his ears( LOL yeah I know I am crazy) like another dog might he will instantly roll over on all fours! Then after we start kissing on him he gets up and starts running laps around the house always stopping and giving kisses each time he passes. He is so cute! So any other woos's out there??? | I love the picture in my mind of you on the floor sniffing around Diesels ears!!! Us Yorkie people sure are a strange breed of people aren't we ? Personally Diesel sounds terrific to me,he likes people and is great with animals. Just like a child that clings to Mom's leg. Give him his own time and keep taking him out with you so he is around people more,he isn't doing anything wrong, just shy .Love to see a picture of him

| How old is he? I bet he grows out of the shyness. He sounds like a blast and I'll bet he's cute as can be!

| I wish Buddy was just a little shy. He acts so mancho all the time but under neath there is a little boy hiding! Whenever he gets his feeling hurt he runs to me to pick him up and give him hugs and kisses. He's a real mommy's boy. |

| Your not alone, mine is a woos too! He hides under my feet. Someone on YT posted a good idea recently (sorry I forget what thread it was on & who posted it) but the suggestion was to carry treats to hand to the strangers so they can give them to your dog. I may try this & see if it helps |

| My big Hercules is also afraid of his own shadow. He is the biggest and yet he is afraid of almost everything. He even jumps when someone sneezes! LOL! But he has gotten better. He is not so afraid of people.

| Mitzi is shy too and there are so many scary things out there: Killer - leaves, killer - branches, killer - ants, killer - paper... We actually like it that she is shy and not so brave. Whenever there is something happening, she'd rather run to us than running away and maybe into a car or any other dangerous situation. We don't have to be worried she may run away, she's too scared to do that, thanks God. |
