| I think you're talking about a male humping another male? As far as I know, this is a dominance thing - Brownie is trying to establish himself as the alpha male. Try startling him when you catch him in the act (clap your hands really loud once or something) and tell him NO. Just like everything else, he needs to be trained out of this behavior. Good luck!

| wow...that is weird. It think it is a dominance issue. I wish I can be of more help but all I have is to discourage this behavior and see what happens.

I agree with everyone else. I think it's just a dominance issue. I don't know how you could stop it though...sorry.

| Could very well be a dominance behaviour. But I would also have the male he is humping checked out by a Vet for impacted anal glands, bladder infections, or infections around the sheath or penis. Very often an infection will make them smell different then males will mount the dog with the infection. If it is a dominance thing, you can try squirting him. I keep a spray bottle filled with water set to stream and anyone misbehaves they get a squirt. That usually puts an end to it. You could try that first. |

| LOL My female Cricket, humps her brother Bubba who is twice her size all the time. He has to be laying down for her to do this. I don't even care. I just laugh it off. She has been throwing her head back too! Of course 90% of the time they are in front of our sliding glass window where all of the neighbors can see. Bubba will get irritated and stand up and that's the end of that. |

Does she also give you a mean nasty growl, and act like she's going to bite? When Rocky does that I take the animal away. If he can't be nice, he can't have it at all lol. Kinda OT, but today Rocky was humping a stuffed bunny, and my other puppy wanted to play with him, but Rocky was too into what he was doing. My puppy just sat there, looking at him crying..it was soo cute
