| OMG...I almost killed her!!! I can't believe I was this careless.... I feel so horrible right now! Here's the story... I'm staying at my parents house for the next couple of days. I forgot Adrianna's ex-pen, so she's been confined to the hallway between the bathroom/laundry room/garage. She's been great there....there's actually more room there than in her ex-pen (not to mention if she has an accident, it's easier to clean up, thanks to ceramic tiles!!). Anyways, I'm doin my laundry right before work. And my parents are rushing me, reminding me that I have to go to work in like 45min. So I'm throwing in the last load which was mainly towels. I noticed that the setting was on for a small load, so I switched it to large.....or so I thought so! I jump in the shower, trying to get ready for work. About 15min has gone by when my mom comes in the house and screams. The washing machine has overflooded and there is now 3 inches of water in the hallwally where Adrianna is desperately trying to avoid. She was crying and shivering....she looked so confused. So I run downstairs, put her in Luca's crate while me and my mom clean up. The whole time I'm doing this, my mom is yelling....making me feel like more crap. We finally got it cleaned up and Adrianna's back in the hallways playing.....but I still feel horrible. What if my mom never came in the house??? What would have happened to Adrianna?!?!?! Now I gotta go to work.....what a horrible rotten day. I am such a bad yorkie mom!

| Carelessness normally occurs when we are always rushed or running late. You certainly are NOT a bad mommy . . .none of us are perfect and no matter how much we try to make sure our furbabies are 100% safe at all times, accidents are still bound to happen . . . Happy Monday |

| Accidents happen every day. You just never know. Thankfully this ended positively. Try not to beat yourself up too much.

| Don't worry accidents happen. Plus sometimes instincts kick in, she might have looked scared but I bet if it came down to it, she would swim somewhere or fight. You're not a bad mom, it happens to all of us at one time or another. When coco was a baby (only 1 lbs), I was trimming her ears and I cut a chunk off her ear and she was bleeding for what felt like forever. I thought she was going to bleed to death, but she was ok. Her ear healed too It happens to the best of us.

| Glad she is ok. How did the washer overflow? I'm not understanding that part. |

| Nobella is right. It happens to the best of us. We live in this rush, rush world where we never have enough time to do everything we have to do. Don't feel bad and don't feel alone. I hope your day wasn't ruined. I know when you start your day off like that, it is hard to get things moving uphill again. Take care and look forward to playing with the baby tonight.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | It sounds like it could have been WAY worse and I agree with everyone - accidents happen. I guess that means your mom will be doing your laundry from now on ? That doesn't sound like a bad deal to me |

| Don't beat yourself up over this--accidents happen. I'm sure we've all been in a similar situation at one time or another. At least Adrianna's ok.

| One day later.....one day smarter Quote:
The washer overflooded because since the load size was stuck in the middle, it just kept filling up. The machine didn't know what size to stop at. And thank you to everyone for the well wishes.....of course Adrianna's doin fine. My parents have made a big deal over this, lol. They said they're going to sign Adrianna up for swimming lessons at the YMCA.

Donating YT 14K Club Member | You're not a rotten mom. How was you to know that the washing machine would go on the blitz like that! And if the washer has been known for over flowing, then your mom needs to get a new washer. Your pup is safe and sound now. Don't beat yourself up over it. Accidents do happen.
