I can't believe I was this careless.... I feel so horrible right now!
Here's the story...
I'm staying at my parents house for the next couple of days. I forgot Adrianna's ex-pen, so she's been confined to the hallway between the bathroom/laundry room/garage. She's been great there....there's actually more room there than in her ex-pen (not to mention if she has an accident, it's easier to clean up, thanks to ceramic tiles!!).
Anyways, I'm doin my laundry right before work. And my parents are rushing me, reminding me that I have to go to work in like 45min. So I'm throwing in the last load which was mainly towels. I noticed that the setting was on for a small load, so I switched it to large.....or so I thought so!
I jump in the shower, trying to get ready for work. About 15min has gone by when my mom comes in the house and screams. The washing machine has overflooded and there is now 3 inches of water in the hallwally where Adrianna is desperately trying to avoid. She was crying and shivering....she looked so confused.
So I run downstairs, put her in Luca's crate while me and my mom clean up. The whole time I'm doing this, my mom is yelling....making me feel like more crap. We finally got it cleaned up and Adrianna's back in the hallways playing.....but I still feel horrible. What if my mom never came in the house??? What would have happened to Adrianna?!?!?!
Now I gotta go to work.....what a horrible rotten day. I am such a bad yorkie mom!
