| Docked Tail...Stupid Question I KNOW there will be at least a few who make fun of me for asking this question, but I'm going to anyway I've only ever seen Yorkies with docked tails. My Baxter's tail is short. What exactly is docked-I think you have to actually do this to the tail... It doesn't grow back, does it? The reason I ask is because I just saw a couple of pictures of Yorkies and they had long tails. |

| To dock a tail means to shorten and no it doesnt grow back. The longer tails you see are undocked. I have the vet dock all my babies, many breeders do it themself some choose not to dock. There was a thread a couple of weeks ago with quite a bit of information under general forum. hope this helps

| thanks, you made me laugh, which is a good thing...... i needed it i hope toby's tail doesnt grow back, if i notice one then there is deffinatly something WRONG and you will be the first person i notify |

| My friend's yorkie (Scuddles' sister) has her tail natural since it was not docked. She can easily be found sometimes since her tail reminds me of a flag sometimes. she looks good though.
