New babies I had a litter of puppies this week. Two males and one female - they were born on Wednsday. They are going to be called KLS Love Touch ( Luvy)- KLS Rebel Heart ( Rebel) - KLS Every Beat of My Heart (Risto). This is my first litter out of their mom. She is doing a beautiful job taking care of the little ones. It will be fun to see how these kids develop. The other litter born in June is up and running around some. You can tell when they are on the prowl cause little Lucky cries for them to come back. Lucky is making slow but steady progress he is over seven ounces. Sad news a old gal who I placed with rescue some time ago- had to be put down. She had developed a brain tumor that was inoperable. Sassy will be missed for her loving spirit. Her new mom was a vet tech who worked for a top vet inNorthern Indiana- they tried everything they could.

I'm glad to hear that Lucky has gained a little weight and is doing okay. Have you heard from his previous owner anymore? Congrats on the new puppies! Enjoy!

With six puppies to choose from- I will have fun next year. It is a even split three boys and three girls. As the other girls come in season I hope to breed at least one of them to Corky or Shane. I was very sad to hear of Sassy and her passing. It is always hard to hear of the loss of a friend. I have her daughter here with me- she reminds me a lot of her mom in spirit. Forgot to mention Lucky is 7 1/2 ounces. My new puppies will weigh more then him in the next few days. I have heard from his owner. I am sure that she would like to sell him for money to pay for the C-section and the spaying of his mom. My gaols are for him to survive and find the proper home for him.

I just wanted to say that I think what you're doing for Lucky is wonderful! You're giving him a chance, and I hope and pray he will grow up to be happy and healthy! I don't remember where you live, but I would certainly be interested in Lucky. My granddaughter (age 3) has fallen in love with a little stray cat that comes around her house, and she named him "Lucky". I wish you the best of luck with him!

Thank you for all of the nice comments. A lot of people have expressed interest in " Lucky". Everyday that he is alive is another day of accomplishment for myself and for Reva. Reva's babies are at the point that they no longer stay in the whelping box- they are out investigating and trying to lap water and soft food. This leaves poor Reva at a loss- she does not know is she should ve out with the three of hers or in the box with Little Lucky. I may try and switch him over to Lacy and her three little ones. With Lacy having puppies this last week- they will be closer in size to him and she does not spend much time away from her puppies. He beomes very upset when Reva and the l ittle ones leave him alone. I will not be taking any money in exchange for Lucky. I have no way of knowing how his rough start in life may have effected him. When the time is right several months from now- I will give him away to a good home. Who ever gets this little man will have to take him on a handshake. There is no way that I can guarantee any of the health issues that I would normally cover. His mother was extremely rough with his little sisiter and she died. " Lucky may have been treated the same way. At the present rate of growth he will be Lucky to make 2 pounds as a adult. He is just a few days short of being a month old and does not weigh 8 ounces.
