I have been where you are. I really wanted another yorkie because I love mine so. But I went back and forth, because she is so spoiled. I wasn't sure I could do 2!!! But last month my husband made the decision for me. After hearing for a year and a half " I wanna another", he surprised me, by taking me on a drive out of the city, to a breeder. He purchased the puppy for me and said "there" . I am so glad he did that. They have only been together for 4 short weeks and they love each other. The puppy is her baby. They play together and sleep together. I say do it. I know it is hard but definitely worth it!!!!

Yeah he is a good guy............ He knew I didn't want to hurt Baby. I am just so wishy washy about big decisions. I really thought Baby would just hate it, but she didn't. However he does hate hearing me whine over and over and over!!!

hey, thats what my hubby did to me when I wanted a new truck. He already had one picked out and came in on Sunday and ask if i wanted to go with him to take the corvette out for a ride. I said well if we're not going where I have to get really dressed. he said nah . he drove straight to the dealer ship, of course it was sunday and nobody was there but a few other people looking. he said lets go look at this new chevy silverado with the onstar as I know you want that on yours so we did and the next evening he called me to get my brother to bring me to meet him at the dealer ship and i did and drove it home and I love it. he did the same thing when i wanted a golf cart for xmas last year. hid it in the barn for a week where he knows i never go. then xmas eve he got up early as he does when hes off and lets me sleep. he took his truck out of the garage and put the golf cart in the garage with a big bow and card. got me up, we went to breakfast and when we came back he punched the garage door opener like he was gonna park in there and there sat my golfcart. I was shocked because I had quit mentioning it like several months before and actually forgot about it. then for our anniversary 3 yrs ago he had me a 1/2 acre lake dug so I can fish. he dont like fishing. So maybe he will surprise me with a new puppy but if he does that i'm sure he will take me to look at it and pick it out since he dont know anything about them. So yall pray for another surprise for me from hubby. But imma keep begging for it till he gets tired of hearing it. ha!!

I'll keep you in my prayers, but I think you have a pretty good chance with his past history. Good Luck!!!!!!!!

I do not think my luck is as good - my husband is not a big surpriser. But that would be so awesome if he did get me a puppy. I would be so happy and from what every one else says on here so would Murphy.

Heres to wishing for all of us ladies with the stubborn hubbies.

Max and Abbie keep each other company when I'm out or at work. They are so attached to one another. I LOVE having 2. Expenses increase but it's managable--I don't even notice. Plus, yorkies are small--they don't take up much space or eat a lot--hardly the same as having 2 St. Bernards

Cons:
1. It's definitely harder to travel with two even for short errands.
2. If they are close in age, they will both cross the rainbow bridge within days, months or a year or two.
3. More $$ for vets, food, supplies, etc.

Pros:
1. Dogs are pack animals and will definitely enjoy eachother
2. You will have double the fun
3. You will have double the love

I begged again this week end to no avail. So I'm just gonna quit saying anything about it. He loves Kizzy so much too, but he just dont think we need another dog. So I did remind him this week end about his horses he had over the years and couldnt wait to get more, even took 2 all the way from Al to NC to have them bred and the paliminos didnt even take. And then he had to buy a horse trailer and then the pasa fino had a baby and he was happy and i have to admit they were pretty, but thats a lot of money, and believe me it is a lot of upkeep and expense to raise horses, two yorkies wouldnt even compare as far as maintenance wise. I wouldnt have to buy a truck or trailer to take my 2 puppies anywhere. ha. So maybe that will give him a guilt feeling. LMAO, i'm trying anyway. plus I am scared of horses but I didnt complain because i really love looking at them.

I mentioned it several times all weekend too but NOTHING! I did howevere get the NO answer finally. He has a valid point we are trying to sell our house and builidng right now so he thinks it is too hard for now. I guess it would be easier to find a place to rent for a short time with one puppy instead of two. He said we can re-evaluate when we get in our new home. That seems way too far away. YIKES - I hope I can be patient!

I have been there too. BUT he said he would get one and he did. Then I wanted another so wig would have someone to play with, he said if I would pay half so I did but she turn out to small she 2 now and her wt is 5 lbs. so Now I have 6 adults and 2 puppies from a littter Daisy had One male I'm trying to sell.Good luck and I hope you get you a baby soon.

I have an idea....have you already sold your house that you're living in now?? Tell your hubby that you need to go ahead and get your new puppy and get it potty trained while you're in your OLD house so it won't mess up your NEW house

We just got our 2nd yorkie about a month ago. I, too, was really apprehensive about the whole thing. I didn't want to mess up a good thing that we had with Hobbs. But I have no regrets about getting our 2nd yorkie. Now we have 1 boy and 1 girl. LOVE IT! We are living in an apartment at the moment, temporariy, so we are trying really hard to get our puppy potty trained before we move into our permanent house. You know?! You don't want to mess up your brand new house! Tell your hubby this!
