| I just read the info again and I missed this part. "Three layers of sutures are placed to repair the abdominal wall, muscle and skin. We use three rows of sutures so that if the skin sutures come out, the incision will not open." Is this how your vets do it? Would that mean the abdominal wall and muscle sutures are dissolvable and the skin sutures are external? Last edited by DJ30; 07-19-2006 at 08:06 PM. |

| Well, my vet uses a scalpel. She doesn't see any advantage to using laser and that people who have had their pets undergo both types of surgeries don't see any difference. I believe she said she uses Butorphenol/Acepromazine for preop meds and Ketamine mixed with Valium for the induction agent. She could use PropoFlo instead of the mix but it's more expensive. The sutures are Monocryl, which she says are the best. |
