| Am I horrible? Anyone else do this? I'll give Keeley little tastes of "human food". If I am having a snack or something, sometimes I'll give him a little pinch of what I am eating. Like I just gave him a peice of pretzel with PB on it. Anyone else give their dog little tastes of what they are eating? Am I being bad? Who can say no to a face like that!? |

| I have given mine people food, but never when I am eating. I don't want them begging. Like the other night we had boneless chicken breasts, and they had a little fat on them, so after we were finished eating and the table was cleared off, I gave it to them. |

| We give ours human food occasionally. We have to be careful because they will quit eating their food and hold out for the human food.

| I give Brownie human food, but not what I'm eating. For example, I'll give her carrrots as a snack or some scrambled egg mixed in with her food sometimes. IMO I think it's ok to feed them, as long it's healthy food.

| I never give Mia any human food because my parents have a Maltese that won't eat dog food since my parents got her used to human food. She starves herself when she is not given human food. That and my mom thinks human food is better than dog food for some reason or some weird line of thought like that. Argh I wish I could get my hands on that pup for a month, put her on a detox diet and then train her properly. But, they live overseas. I am just too scared Mia will become like that, but I'm probably being over-cautious. Well, the real reason I started replying was to say: awwwww what a cute dog you have!!!! He is one of the dogs I wish Mia would end up looking like.

| O.K. I'm a baaaaad mommy too. Mitzi eats when we eat and she always gets some small pieces from us. Only when we tell her 'no more' she turns to her own food. If she would be bigger we wouldn't allow that. My Leonberger Inka (135 lbs.) never eat with us and never got something right from the table. This way we could take her to every restaurant (I'm from Germany where dogs are allowed) and she would lay under the table and didn't bother us begging. |

| I give mine pieces of human food when I am making dinner and when I am cleaning up after dinner. Never during. I do it sporadically because if I do it on a regular basis she won't eat her kibble. |

| Sissy usually gets food when I'm eating. Since she eats people food for breakfast, she shares some of my oatmeal. I only give her things that are good for her, though.

| I was going to say NOOOOOO... but when I read, I realized I do... I add green beans, peas and carrots to the boys food sometimes... I do it because Frank appears to have a small weight problem. (He gains easily...) The vet suggested this to help him since he is not a playful pup....

| You bad, bad, bad Mummies! I never give my Millie or Bonnie human food!! Ah! Who am I kidding! I'm guilty too! Bonnie only eats chicken as she wont eat anything else. Milli used to live on chicken, hot dogs and burgers until last year when I finally found a brand of dog food she likes. Though she still gets a happy meal from McDonalds and much as treats. Though we should never really give it to them lol. Love and light, Chrissy xxx

| I guess I'm bad too, because Pilla does get some people food. My vet told me the only things to absolutely stay away from are grapes, raisins and onions, as they have something that accumulates in their bodies and causes problems with their kidneys. When we first brought Pilla home, she was only 2 lbs and just wouldn't eat, so I started mixing cooked boneless chicken or hamburger, and she finally ate. Being so small I was worried about her going into shock with no food, which I've had happen to me with another dog. Anyway......I don't really think we're bad!
