| It's probly not what you want to do, but I would pull the poop apart and see what it is. The two kinds of worms I have seen are the ones that look like rice like chchi said and then I've seen long skinny ones. (when I say long I mean like 4 or 5 inches long) If you don't want to do it your self then put it in a bad and take it to the vet for them to run a test on it. Better safe than sorry.... Crystal

If it is flat and white sounds like tapeworms. They are actually long flat white segments joined together, but can break apart and each segment can come apart - thus looking like rice. Tapeworms are the effects of a dog eatting a flea and can also be caused when eatting anothers dog feces which has tapeworms. I will try to look for a link that shows a picture for you. It is very simple to treat - one pill now and another in 2 weeks. I forget the name of the pill right now. I use to be a vet tech. I would highly recoomend going to the vet if it is tapeworms to get a diagnosis and treatment. Do not count on the pills offered at pet shops. T.

Here is a link: http://www.thepetcenter.com/exa/worms.html with information about tapeworms and photos. It is very common in dogs, especially in the summer. Let us know if it was paper or tapes - curious. Good luck. T.

Maybe you could take a stool sample down to your vet today. That way they'd have time to look through it before you get there for your appt. You could ask them to call you if they see anything wrong. That way you could go and get him on meds.

my princess had worms really bad when i first got her its reallty gross she would poop out whole worms and scoot her booty on the floor ugh they were still alive and wiggling needless to say she went to the vet right away. but they can check for worms at the vet by doing a stool sample it's not pleasent but not too bad and then they could tell you exactly what kind and give you the right med.the most common worming med is strongit t i believe its liquid given orally with syringe but tapeworms need a small pill to get rid of then they will ask you to come back for a follow up in about 2 weeks good luck lets hope its just paper

I think I would take a sample into your vet. If it is worms its better to treat now and not wait. Good Luck!!
