| Haircut or No haircut I am in a fight with myself, Jack's hair is getting long, and when I brush him he looks like a raggamuffin 5 minutes later. I would like to get a puppy cut for him for the summer, but I am not sure if he is too young, 6 months, and if I should wait another month or two. He is very active and goes for walks, we live in the country so his hair picks up every leaf etc. What are your views on this. Cut or not to cut? Plus, the lady that I bought Jack from told me to wait until he was at least 6 months old to register him, so I could see what color he was going to be, but some other owners say it is a year or more before they get their final coloring. Any ideas on this? Thank you. Jill |

| cut Your boy is not too young to trim for summer...he dose not have to eb shaved down..a nice shorter puppy clip will make playing more fun for you both! Color..pick one..it is all a guessing game ..Yorkies can change shades of color all their life. |

| my little boy has been getting his hair cut since he was about 3-4 months old. i was told to go ahead and start having him trimed, nails cut, and all of that to go ahead and get him use to it. he is almost 10 months old and he gets his hair cut about every 6 wks. good luck with your decision.

I have been cutting his nails, with my Husband's help, so I have that one mastered. I had a Yorkie/s**tzu until last Nov, when he died, and he was a dream to groom, I did it all myself. Now the Yorkie challenge. Thank you for your advise. Jill | |

| Cut. Paris is just about the same age and I took her to get her first cut the other week. Debating the same thing. But paris likes it. I did not want to cut her hair but it really worked out for the better. I always figured if I don't like it, her hair will grow. Just like a normal haircut
