| Now that we can all breathe again.....I thought something happened to Schatzie. I think you are doing the right thing with this little trial run. We are going on vacation in June, too and I am already having separation anxiety with Molly. Luckily, my to-be sister-in-law is going to keep her. I know she and her parents will spoil her rotten(She still lives at home till she marries my brother in Sept.). But I still know it won't be the same for Molly. I know you will miss her, but you'll have a great time in Jamaica - we loved it!! Where are you staying? We stayed at Couples and had a BALL!! Didn't care much for the bus trip to the resort, though.

| Scared Me Too then i remember you saying that you and your husband were going on a vacation so i was hoping and assuming that what you meant. i think she will be fine and it's good that you are giving her time to get use to it rather than throwing her into it all at once. if i have to go anywhere and leave nala behind i think i will do that. it's weird one of my best friends has always came and dog sat for us when we go on vacation and i completely trust her but now that i have nala i don't know that i trust her with my baby. i'm sooo overprotective. i guess b/c she is "mine" and no one elses. |

| Oh my goodness! I thought the worst when I read the title of your message! I know how you feel about leaving your baby -- I go through the same thing when I have to leave my babies as well. The good thing is, that she will be staying with the breeder, and they will take wonderful care of her for you. Good luck and I will be thinking of you this weekend. |

| Well I think it's great that you are doing a trial this weekend. It will make it a little easier on Schatzie when you do have to leave her for vacation. We had to leave Hercules at the end of January to go to CA for my boyfriend's brother's wedding. I found a kennel in MD (thanks to YorkieRose's recommendation) that only boards small dogs. I went and checked it out ahead of time and felt completely comfortable. The let the dogs out most of the day (except for a 2 hour nap time during the day) and then are in the kennels over night. It was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. I cried my entire way home. And I thought about him the entire trip. I know it will be rough, but at least she will be with the breeder. That should make it a little better for her. Look forward to the fact that you'll be in JAMAICA!!

| Oh my goodness I am sooooo sorry everyone!! I truly had no idea how bad my title sounded "Schatzie I will miss you", it didn't even enter my mind that it sounded like that and make so many of you worry, I truly apologize and in the future will find a more appropriate title for my threads However, Schatzie's trial visit went ok. I guess someone opened the door and she ran out. It took them forever to catch her. Im guessing all she knew is that her Mama went out that door and she was bound and determined to find me. She didn't eat her dinner but ate this am. She didn't lay on my blankey I gave her but used one of theirs. Also pooped on their kitchen floor and did pee on the potty pad but missed some of it so it went on their carpet, ugh! She didn't give them all the lovey hugs and kisses but for her first trial they understood how nervous she would be so gave her space and didn't push her to return affection. She asked for me to bring her back in May for another trial visit so she will be in better comfort for June during that 10 days of seperation. I am proud of myself too as I didn't call to bug them to see how she was doing, but trust me I wanted too! Again, I truly am sorry for worring everyone with my thread title...

| AHHHHH! you scared me, too! Little Schatzie will be fine during her overnight. Maybe you can test out that stuff we saw on Petedge (the calming stuff) in case she has a problem...

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | that's a great idea letting her stay and you pick her up the next day getting her used to both the breeder and giving her security that mom will come back for her. What a good mom ! |

| What about putting your pillowcase on another pillow and sending it with her to sleep on? That way she can have the smell of home with her? |
