| I hurt Buttercup I was in a hurry this morning because I was 2 hours late. I put Buttercup in his ex pen like I usually do and he climbed/jumped out when I turned my back. Immediately when I opened the door, he ran out and I tried to catch him before he ran out of the garage and accidently stepped on his hind leg. After I got a hold of him, I just put him in the kitchen and left. When I came home, he didn't run up to me like usual. I thought something was wrong and I was right. He was limping and still is. I think I hurt him really bad and I feel really bad. Should I take him to the vet and get him examined? |

| If he will let you, carefully examine the leg by pressing gently on all parts from the top of the leg all the way to the foot/toes. If he whines, or pulls suddenly away, he is hurt and you should take him to the vet. If he doesn't do this, he may just limp for a while from the trauma. Good luck and keep us posted.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Poor baby - he didn't scream when you accidentally stepped on him ? I hope he's going to be ok - if he's walking on it and not crying - that's a good sign but if he's limping badly... I would for sure get him checked out....I really hope he feels better soon...It's so hard when we see them hurt and can't take away the pain for them |

As of right now, he doesn't walk on it or should I say he doesn't walk at all. He just lay in his bed. When he sees me, it looks like he's attempting to get up but can't. I tried rubbing his leg down to his paw and he jerked it away as soon as I got closer down and started crying. He's usually excited when he's not locked up in his ex pen but he doesn't seem really excited at all today. | |

| Oh I know you must feel terrible, but those things happen. I agree if he is not using it by this length of time, it needs to be checked out. Good luck. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Bless your heart, forgive yourself though, things happen so fast, it's scary. Let us know how Buttercup is doing. Did you go ahead and get him to a vet?
