| My Yorkie doesn't like treats! Whenever I try to reward my 10 week old puppy, I give her a dog biscuit, Bacon-flavored cookie, or a Mars Mix treat. However, she just sniffs it and then turns away. Why doesn't my puppy like her treats? (She likes her puppy chow just fine and I know her teeth can chew them.) Should I try to find a treat she likes, or just reward her with praise instead? |

| A praise is more than any treat IMO. But maybe she is just full? Or you could use her Puppy chow as treats? |

| Ten weeks is very young. I would try something softer and/or smaller. |

| You can try different treats. If you take your pup to a pet store she might show some interest in certain brands But, if that doesn't work her kibble is just as good as any treat. The idea is that you give your pup something to eat as reward- could be anything (as long as its okay for her health). Praise is a good reward. You can also use toys as rewards. In order to use toys as rewards you need to keep some of her favorites out of her reach, or it won't be special

(Since I don't like them anyway, I'll just use them as treats for my yorkie. : ) )

| The only treats that mine seem to like are the Canine Carry outs. I get them at Kmart. I cut each one into a lot of little pieces. They also like Cheerios. Honey Nut |

| Pupperoni or Natural Balance rolls cut into bits work quite well in my house... Pixie will eat anything, but Fudgie is pretty picky. It takes a bit of coaxing to get him to try anything new, even if it is a yummy treat! |

| Most Yorkies are finicky eaters, it takes time to find what they really like. Don't give them human food because they will end up even more finicky...

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Yorkie Yummies My two would stick their noses up at treats until I found Yorkie Yummies. I got a sample from chattiesmom here on YT and they just love them. Don't know the magic ingredient but they love them! They also now like Pupperoni's.
