| Welcome to YT! Mizti was 4 y.o. when she came into my life (via my new husband) and she was not potty trained. She just went wherever she wanted to and my husband cleaned up after her (he's such a good guy!). Since I'm at home I took it on to potty train her. It's 5 years now (OMG time just flies!) and we still have 'accidents'. I have her on a regular schedule and don't relay on her telling me. I had to learn to read her signs and just live with some little paddles and peanut sized poops. About the hiding in the closets: Mitzi does that too since she was a little baby. It's her private time and she spends there about 5 hours a day sleeping. Dogs have to sleep 14 to 20 hours a day to stay healthy. At night she sleeps in our bed and the rest on the couch - sleeping. Kudos to you for taking in your baby after a hard life! |

| You are without a doubt an Angel amoung us........thank God this little baby girl has someone like you to LOVE HER. I know I would have done the same thing you did, bringing her home instead of the pup. All it takes is one look sometimes and you just know. I know she is just scared to be free and happy right now, isn't that a shame? Makes me think about all the other little mommies out there in the same situation. SO SAD.........I could not be that kind of breeder. Even if I were a breeder, I would want to keep them all myself. I hope things work out for you and this little baby girl. There are several sites that you can purchase little panties and they work so well. You won't have to worry about where she is going potty. The people here on Yorkietalk are so sweet and helpful........tons of information in the search feature too. This is a place you can always come to for support. I know many here have helped me ,so from my house to yours....Love and prayers of thanks to you for giving this little girl a chance to live like most of our babies do. HAPPY and FREE........Life is short! God Bless You! |
