| GREAT NEWS! (pet store update!) Hi everyone, A lot of you read my pet store/puppy mill thread earlier. I just wanted to give you an update. One of the vet offices I was talking to about this called me last night. The 5 yr old Yorkie DID GET ADOPTED!! I know this is both good and bad- bad because that stupid lady has more $$$ to buy more dogs, but good for the furbaby. Also, no surprise here, the pet shop owner totally lied to me about her. This poor dog has been bred MULTIPLE times. Guess what the breeders last name is? Yoder!! (I wonder- amish puppy mill perhaps?) The dog has numerous health issues (as I suspected!) and has several bacterial infections as well. She is malnourished. God Bless the woman that bought her. The vet office said the woman who bought seemed great and really wanted to rescue her. I am not sure about the baby boy yet. I keep driving by and they aren't open (shocking!!) I am waiting for her sign to be posted as to where she is moving to... you can bet I will show up on opening day with my protest signs!! What a marvelous grand opening she will have! I also wanted to say thanks to Vilette for helping spread the word about the puppy mills. I have to believe that we can make a difference- WE HAVE TO!!!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | OMGOSH She was FIVE YEARS old and sitting in a Pet Store ? That's just sooooooo sad and what a terrible life she's had - poor baby. Thanks so much for the update - I saw your earlier post and wanted to commend you for talking about it.....I know how hard it must have been for you to walk away - but just hearing that woman keeps moving her store possibly could mean someone MAY be on her back already ? With YOU now in the picture - maybe they'll put more pressure on her ? If there's anything we can do - let us know - That's just sucks she's still in business and I really hope that poor girl is now in a GREAT home full of love. normally I don't congratulatate people for Buying in a Pet Store.... but that baby needed OUT. At 5 years old - & being over-bred - she had no love in her little life and THAT is plain Cruel. KEEP up the good work and tell ALL your friends about Mills and Pet Stores - |

| The poor littel thing, they must have bred her till she was all used up. It is sooooo difficult to tell yourslef that you are actully doing the best thing by walking away from those stores. I don't go in them, that way I am not tempted to rescue them all. Plus the prices that they charge are outrageous. |

| It is awfull that a 5yr old was in a pet store! Glad she finally found her forever home. I am sure the party who bought her will love her to death. You must feel great knowing she found a home after watching over her these last weeks. |
