A lot of you read my pet store/puppy mill thread earlier. I just wanted to give you an update. One of the vet offices I was talking to about this called me last night. The 5 yr old Yorkie DID GET ADOPTED!! I know this is both good and bad- bad because that stupid lady has more $$$ to buy more dogs, but good for the furbaby. Also, no surprise here, the pet shop owner totally lied to me about her. This poor dog has been bred MULTIPLE times. Guess what the breeders last name is? Yoder!! (I wonder- amish puppy mill perhaps?) The dog has numerous health issues (as I suspected!) and has several bacterial infections as well. She is malnourished. God Bless the woman that bought her. The vet office said the woman who bought seemed great and really wanted to rescue her. I am not sure about the baby boy yet. I keep driving by and they aren't open (shocking!!) I am waiting for her sign to be posted as to where she is moving to... you can bet I will show up on opening day with my protest signs!!
What a marvelous grand opening she will have!
I also wanted to say thanks to Vilette for helping spread the word about the puppy mills. I have to believe that we can make a difference- WE HAVE TO!!!
