![]() The vet said that there wasn't an excessive amount of stuff but more than normal. We asked how often we should clean Angel's ears, and she said she tells clients not to do it unless there's a reason to. She said we could clean the folds if they're dirty but not to dig into the pocket of the ear canals as it could impact the wax/debris and make things worse or cause an infection. I was cleaning the pockets with Q-Tips, and that's where most of the stuff was. Do you clean your Yorkies' ears, and if you do, how often do you do it? The breeders told us to do it every time we give her a bath.

We now have to clean her ears daily and do the drops. The vet said there wasn't mites, but suspects water or other irritant caused it. Punkin hates the drops but will still still forever while I clean them. As soon as I get the surolan bottle near her she freaks. That part takes two of us.

![]() It's so funny that you mention that! My Kahlua has had the same thing. And I was wondering the same thing. But I realized that now it is flea dust! She has never been outside due to her illness but I have an outdoor cat that we took under our wing and I'm sure she probably has fleas! I couldn't figure out how Kahlua was getting fleas when she never went outside. I bathe her at least once a week and give her Front Line once a month! But you really have to watch, fleas can be brought in your home so easily! You may be bringing them in on your clothes not even knowing it. I live in the country and there are always strays coming to my house. So I know there probably bringing fleas as well! My vet said that Johnson's Baby Shampoo will kill fleas and is safe on your puppies eyes. He said just make sure when you are shampooing to let it sit on them for a minute for rinsing them off! Anyway I hope my tips help and good luck!!! ![]()

![]() Another thing to know about dandruff . My forst little yorkie years ago had forever dandruff when I picked her up. I could never get rid of it. Come to find out she had cheytella mites ( walking dandruff) I used the meds they gave me for it and brushed her out one time really good with a fle comb. It took forever but you wouldnt believe the difference in her coat after that one flea comb brushing. In fact I think IU used the teeny tiny flea comb. He coat was beautiful and not so boingy after that. Bonnie

![]() Well, we took Angel to the vet's on Fri. to have her ears rechecked, and she said there's no sign of infection in either ear. There was some wax though. She said to keep the drops just in case. Regarding her skin, she said it's ok if her coat is a little dry. She thought it looked fine and that we don't need to do anything. She did say we could use a shampoo with oatmeal in it, which we will probably do after we finish with the one we're using.
